I posted this about half a year ago. Now there are new people, and I want to know what they think about it.
What do you guys know about stereotypes. Do you use them often on first impressions? Even though I am Asian, I am not incredible at math problems.
What are some other stereotypes you know of?
I believe stereotypes themselves are utterly worthless, other than for joke fuel. Remember, it's not racist if A.) It's not True, or B.) You hate everyone equally!
Personally I think if anyone is offended by a joke about a stereotype or the stereotype itself they need to thicken their skin a bit... For instance, I'm a redneck, in almost every sense of the word. You know how many redneck jokes I crack?
I sit in my room all day, therefore I must have a terrible social life.
That's kind of true actually. But this is not true for everyone.
I think sitting in your room all day and having a terrible social life is more a cause and effect sort of thing rather than a stereotype. It's somewhat like how things you throw up in the air tend to come down at some point.
I don't fit into most gay stereotypes. I'm not very fashionable, I don't do that voice thing, I'm not obnoxious, etc. etc. etc.
Stereotypes seem more ridiculous the later in life you learn them, I heard the "Blacks like watermelon" stereotype when I was fourteen, and it just seemed retarded to me, though the "Asians are smart" stereotype, while I realize isn't always true, just seems less ridiculous to me.
That's not really a stereotype. In fact, anyone who thinks that only little girls like MLP probably has no earthly idea what the word "brony" means, or that the show didn't die in the early 90's for that matter.
I spend most of my time on my computer as well as in my room where you would normally find me reading science fiction novels or drawing comic book characters. I wouldn't label myself a true "gamer" because I mostly play only strategy games. I frequently watch science fiction shows on Netflix such as Doctor Who, Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica as well as science related documentaries and TEDtalks. I usually consider myself a nerd or a geek although I believe the two terms are less stereotypes than they are subcultures.

Brings whirlwinds, tempests, thunder and lightning.
I dislike stereotypes, all they do is cause generalizations (which is something I really hate).
I never use stereotypes other than for humor, but I never take stereotypes seriously.
I am not immature, that's the thing, I think I am more mature then some adults.
For the love of God never say that. You might be, but you'll look back in 5 years and realise what an idiot you make yourself look like for making that statement.
I promise you.

If you can't strive for perfection, what can you strive for?

In Canada, not everyone end their sentences with "eh," nor does everyone speak French, or live in igloos, or play hockey. In fact I haven't meet a guy who owned a beaver.
I hate when all these stereotypes are featured when Canada is present on some comedy or cartoon.

But stereotypes are generally for comedy.
I don't mind much when Americans are portrayed as fat and stupid for the purposes of comedy, but if everyone thinks that about us in real life, that gets me pissed.
When I hear something, I usually hang around that person if I want to find out about it, make sure it's not a stereotype. It's stupid to judge a group of people just by one or a stereotype. For instance, most Bronies annoy me, but I have some Brony friends that will only mention it every few days. I also hate gay stereotypes, I'm not one myself, but it's annoy the way they're portrayed.

He's right, Tucking.
You're a brony, therefore you're an emotionally stunted 14-35 year old male.

Yeah. Only 44% of us are like that.
