I ate a whole ghost pepper. ****, that stuff is good.
Once I got dared to coat a warhead in lemon juice, and then re-dust it with the sour dust from the bottom of the package. Fascinating experience, I dare say.
Isn't the ghost pepper the hottest kind of pepper in the world? .-.
Anyways, the spiciest food I have ever eaten was a jalapeno pepper, and I am not sure what the sourest thing I have ever eaten was to be honest.
It depends on the stresses it goes through during development If it lives a nice life without physical contact in a temperature controlled environment, it can be down to 3/4 of it's estimated SHU. On the other hand if it was stressed (EG no water, physical contact, uncontrolled temperatures) it could be 25% more than it's estimated SHU.

No. There's one that is twice as hot as it (though the pain doesn't last as long)
I believe it's called the "Moruga Scorpion."
As for me, golden pepperoncinis are probably the hottest thing I've ever eaten. They're not all that spicy, but I usually eat upwards of 10 at at time. Aside from the spice, they're pretty good.
EDIT: According to the scoville scale, pepperoncinis are only between 100 and 900. (Keep in mind, the golden ones are much spicier than other kinds.)
I had some 4 year old concentrated habenero salsa that I recently threw out (along with everything in the fridge). It was a sad day, as I've heard it lasts indefinitely (and gets hotter with every passing year).
Anyway, I used it as a food additive. Eating it straight would have caused physical damage (much like eating a ghost pepper would).
I don't eat spicy food often, but a couple of months ago I was in a sauna with a few friends, and one of them had a bag of habanero chips with them. So we all ate a few of those, and the spicy chips and the hot air temperature caused inhaling through the mouth to be painful for several minutes. It was fun though.
I also like my kebab spicy, whenever I order some.
The sourest food I've ever eaten? I honestly have no idea...

Favorite spicy food? Cajun shrimp.
There's a shop in Leavenworth, WA that sells this ****. I tried a dab of it on a pretzel, and my mouth was burning for hours.
as for sourest, ever tried a handful of lemongrass?

I love spicy things as well. I eat Jalapeno peppers raw a lot, they taste pretty good.
