My friend got 'locked up' in a fricken' mental institution because some kid posted of facebook that he thought my friend was going to commit suicide (when my friend never said ANYTHING about suicide) so yeah my friends life is **** now because of another idiot.
So of course your personal experience applies to every other experience ever.
Giving advice like that to people who are in need of advice of this severity is only gonna worse their problem. If you don't have good advice to give, then stop typing. Or risk worsening someone's problem.
A school grade counselor requires at least some form of college level psychology. They're not medical practitioners as they don't have a license, that's something you get if you want to be a psychiatrist, but they're more than able, both legally and academically to help improve someone's cognitive behaviour. Which is the main function of a counselor. They're great if you need some quick comfort. If you want something more in depth, then you go to a psychologist.
Don't apply your shitty experiences to every other possible experience.
No I am just saying that based on my experience, I didn't mean that was officially how it is just how it was for me.
Your interest in computers won't get you anywhere?
Of course it will, as long as you apply your knowledge to a profession involving computers. You can make some major money off of computers, just as long as you get the right jobs.
But do you guys have any ideas as to what a 14 year old could do now?
My dad is a *****, hes mean, and very bipolar, i dont see any point in living now.
if you have any reasons as to why i should comment...
because the only thing im interested in is computers and thats not gonna get me nowhere...
It most likely isn't as simple as that. If he is 14 he can't just decide who to live with.
And if you need it, the national suicide hotline number is 1-800-273-8255.
Counsellors don't do ****. Trust me.
They're someone you can talk to. It's at least a step up from confessing to a bunch of internet strangers.
My fault. I should have referred to it as a suicide prevention hotline.
They'd most likely place you with another family member as a guardian.
They don't have that sort of power. They're just there to help people who are suicidal.
Yes, actually I do. I have had counsellers and they didn't change anything.
its ok though
I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but just deal with it, that's really the only thing you can do other than what Cue said.
No I am just saying that based on my experience, I didn't mean that was officially how it is just how it was for me.
It's an option for me, anyways I will stop posting since everything I say is frowned upon.

You've lost this argument.. move on..
