The only thing I don't get about it is why people call themselves bronies, like it's some sort of special club. :huh.gif: I watch spongebob but I don't call myself a spongy.

It' from /b/ro ponies when it started on /b/. that was shortened to /b/ronies and then we got rid of the connections to /b/ when everything pony was purged, and then brony.

Look it's big red text!
Now that being said. Ponies.
Don't listen to this guy. First off, beating up a bunch of girls is not gonna end well for you. Secondly, girl bullies are different than guy bullies. If you do something to get them REALLY mad at you, they won't rest until your life is in ruins and you are reduced to a former shell of yourself. They're vicious that way. Seriously, they're just bitches, they have NO lives if they're picking on you for that. Just roll your eyes at them and pretend you don't care. Laugh it off, let 'em know they're feeble little witches and they can't hurt you. They'll move on to the next target.
Oh, I thought this was a guy bully.
In the bold, I wonder if that is the case then they must be dumb or something because no one can do that feasibly. Yes they may try to ruin your social image through slander, but your personal life? HA! Good luck on that. Maybe I am too detached, but what can they possibly do? Spread a ******** rumor that can be debunked with ease? What?
Although I do not believe 'Bullies' even exist; just dicks, bitches and douches.
Psychoanalyze the bullies individually and make them feel inferior by your humbling knowledge and by your explanation of why they feel the need to insult you (which is invariably from some sort of insecurity or inadequacy on their part).
Also, I have a fascination with those who watch MLP that are outside of the show's target demographic (namely little girls, no offence). Why do you enjoy the show anyway? I watched the first 5-10 minutes of the first episode and found nothing that I especially liked about it.

I find it to be a very well put together show.
It's got some relate-able characters. They're incredibly diverse and multilayered as opposed to previous generations, which have been heavily criticized as being card-board cut-outs of each other and rather flat in every meaning of the word. There's plenty of episodes that develop on them and present unique challenges that make it interesting to watch and see how they over-come it.
The animation and art-style are great too in comparison to the eye-rape that was the entire previous generations.
Elaborating further, there's plenty of references that many of us that watch the show now would be familiar with. They've already made references to Darkwing Duck, Big Lebowski, and Gone with the Wind. But the show isn't over-saturated with them, so they come off as being an awesome surprise when you see them (if they're not integrated too heavily with the background). If you don't, well there's always the intelligent bi-lingual play (Mare on the Moon) and sharp witty one-liners ("I didn't put those in my bag." "I REALLY LIKE HER MANE!")
And unlike Flapjack, Chowder, and the new Spongebob era I don't need to fear my brain getting raped by the horrors that are all-to-sadly considered modern cartooning.
I'm sure I'll be echoed by every-other brony here.
Like many people have said, ignoring them or laughing it off is your best bet. I was bagged in high school for liking things that weren't considered 'normal' to other people. I remember someone having a go at me for having a Destiny's Child CD in my bag next to my metal. I just shrugged off the insults and it never escalated. Usually people will get bored when they know it doesn't phase you. They're only doing it for a reaction.
Well tell somebody. Also, how did they find out you watch MLP. To be fair the stupid ignorant kids of today (which is a lot of them) were obviously going to bully you if they found out you watch MLP.
This wouldn't be a Charlie the unicorn pun would it? if so, My respect for you has just doubled.
Yessir, yes it was.

That's not really helping, you know.
Unless of course, they punch you. In which case you should probably conform to their ideals like a tool. :smile.gif:

You never, ever, tell anyone about IRL that stuff. Really sorry for you bro, I don't know what I would do if I told my school I was a furry.

Why the :ohmy.gif:?
This pretty well sums it up.
My friends found out I did, but it got me a girlfriend. Who's laughing now?
This should solve all your problems.
And, as far as actual help goes, I know this sounds really lame, but the best advice I can think of would be to ignore them.
