Also, I find it a bit amusing how you people are reacting. This is nothing new. Net Neutrality, the DMCA, this is just one more piece tacked on to an already growing movement of restriction on the Internet and other media.
How about actually reading it, rather then just buying whatever vitriol other people say it says.
It seems relatively sane to me. Warranted, I only read portions of it, but I think that's more than we can say for the people trying to sensationalise it.
The bill hopefully won't be passed if it passes them I'm screwed horrible as far as recreation plus a bunh of other **** I be screwed with well I guess I'm done for don't you think ?
I told you all in my thread a few days ago that it would pass. I told you.
It hasn't passed yet to my knowledge. It has been approved by a Senate committee and introduced into the House. Because this is American politics, which moves at a standstill, the bill will likely be shelved for later discussion and forgotten.
I predict that nothing will change. These things always get blown out of proportion.
while this may or may not be true, it's this kind of attitude that makes lawmakers think they can get away with this ********.
regardless of whether or not it's sane to think it can't happen; put your best foot forward in making sure it doesn't happen. Otherwise things might be sneaking by... like what's happening right now.
Apologies if I sound a bit like a noob, this is new to me, but what is exactly the reason for these people trying to shut down these certain sites (videos e.t.c) ? I watched the first video and it all seems to be from some "ignorant old people" who don't understand D:
- cheers
Like Cheez said, it all goes back to privacy. At least we aren't as bad as the way it is in China, that stuff is ridiculous.
It gets a result.
It gets a result.
WTH do you all mean by partition? Do you mean a petition?
I don't know what's worse, this bill, or how stupid everyone is...
I can be edited there or killed off completely. But if it does pass, one just hope Obama has the sense to not sign it.
Provided of course, this is legit.
My DeviantArt, so sexy
Have you even read the ****ing thing?

Is this accurate?
