Not the warmest it's been though. I believe it is a natural cycle with negligible human effect.Notice the drastically higher CO2 level and the temperature does not follow. There is a small correlation, but not the direct effect the media would have you believe.
Also, humans 300,000 years ago did not drive cars. Just think about that when looking at the graph.
I'd like to point out that those bits when the chart goes much higher have been around ice ages, like it says on the chart.
But I hope we aren't heading for one.
Can someone give me proof that gives a reason to believe that humans have directly affected the decay of the environment? I'm not being sarcastic or ****, I really want to know if there is a reason to believe humans have directly caused changes in the environment.

You mean the way the temperature line follows the CO2 line almost exactly is a "small correlation"? When was the last time you got your eyes checked? It's a nigh-perfect correlation, and with lack of any other factors, you can't deny it implies causation.
What are you saying? That's exactly the problem.
Look at the end of the graph. The temperature line does not follow it perfectly. I am saying that both things could be related to something else, because the fact that the CO2 could double from an external source and not affect the temperature. The natural CO2 vs unnatural is showing that that is NOT necessarily the problem.
We have so many self-inflicted, apocalyptic-scale dangers threatening our very existence it's almost funny. How could we **** things up this bad?
Because we're not ****ed. The earth has survived meteors over 10km wide, mass extinctions, world-wide droughts (homo sapiens almost went extinct about 30,000 years ago due to one of these episodes), over 10.0 Richter earthquakes, continent-wide wildfires, ice-ages, nuclear winters lasting over 20 years caused by super-volcanoes or other extreme forces of nature and so on.
And we have the audacity to state that the whole ****ing PLANET is going to DIE because of one arrogant species?

I do not believe we are heading towards a monoculture. Whilst the mixing of different skin colours may be occurring, the increase in old traditional culture in many asian countries has never been stronger. Whilst in the west "Hipsterisation" is occurring with any one thing older than 5 minutes being "bad" and lovers history and older music are seen as "strange", there is no such thing here. The issue was that with our modern television signals and internet lines, news, people, culture travels a lot faster and we get the world interested in the same things at the same time. But there will always be a difference living in one place or another. Japan, china, Korea, India, will never be the same experience as France, Britain, America and Germany.
I agree that this sort of Western imperialism has been on the decline. Britain no longer runs India, France has rejected American culture, the Middle East is in constant cultural conflict with Europe, and Asia is growing more powerful and influential.
Nonetheless, it's predicted that in the next century, 90% of the (human) languages on Earth will disappear. Most of our cultural diversity, as a species, does not exist in America, Italy, or China. It exists in very rural or indigenous places, typically in populations with a culture that has less than 1000 living members. These are what is disappearing from the Earth. The Japanese language might be in no danger, but what about the Yaghan? Do you even know who they are? I doubt it. There are only two native speakers left.
So, though I agree with your sentiment, I also realize that the real loss in biocultural diversity is happening in places we aren't very aware of. Nonetheless, I will agree that we're begun to move in the right direction where we are noticing trouble. Nonetheless, even large places (such as India) are losing their indigenous cultures. So, it's not like it's all happening in obscure locations such as the Tierra de Fuego. It's happening right under our noses as well. Especially in industrializing nations.
Well, I wasn't talking about Earth. I know the subject here is that Earth is becoming more and more inhabitable, but I was talking about how we're ****ing things up so badly ( apparently ) that we have dozens of apocalyptic disasters to worry about ( Or at least that's what the media says ). I know Earth isn't going anywhere, but we're definitively shortening our existence with all these problems were accumulating
Can someone give me proof that gives a reason to believe that humans have directly affected the decay of the environment? I'm not being sarcastic or ****, I really want to know if there is a reason to believe humans have directly caused changes in the environment.

Saying the whole planet is doomed may be a stretch. But I certainly believe humanity may very well take its own self out.

I don't deny that people do have a direct influence on global warming and the denial of natural defences, but, as shown in the said graph, it's more of a cycle. Yes, as you can see, the things 'reset' every few 10k years, however, as you see in the last part of the graph, too, the decline of temperatire is in fact much slower and less stable than before. Even if global warming is here, it's spoken of as a rise in temperatures and the like, but it's just a far slower decrease with more spikes. What we should worry about is, in fact, the constant destruction of forests, as they provide us with a free and easy way to convert the excess CO2 back into Oxygen. The easiest solution, would of course be: Replant what you cut down. Eventually it will grow again. The problem being? Quite possibly human greed. It's quite expensive to pay for all these things, and most companies or individuals wouldn't be willing to do it. This isn't a protest against humans, but more of a statement. I'm sure someone said this before, but yeah.
Can someone give me proof that gives a reason to believe that humans have directly affected the decay of the environment? I'm not being sarcastic or ****, I really want to know if there is a reason to believe humans have directly caused changes in the environment.
I posted this in a thread about global warming ages ago. There wasn't a single person who disagreed with anthropogenic climate change who responded to it, so I can only assume they found nothing wrong with it and chose to ignore it because they were in denial about being wrong.
By the way, anyone else who thinks anthropogenic climate change is a lie should read this.
How anthropogenic global warming works
The earth's temperature is regulated by a process known as the greenhouse effect:
When solar radiation reaches Earth from the sun, some of it is absorbed by the Earth, and some of it is reflected back in the form of infra-red radiation (heat). However, on its way back through the atmosphere, it reaches a layer of gases known as the greenhouse gases. Earth's primary greenhouse gases are water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and ozone. These gases absorb radiation within the thermal infra-red range, and then emit some of it back towards earth. This means that instead of sunlight reaching the earth and reflecting straight back off again, some of the heat is contained within the atmosphere, which keeps the Earth's temperature warm. This is a well-known process, and life as we know it on Earth would not exist without it, as it would be far too cold otherwise.
However, as I mentioned before, the greenhouse effect is controlled by a layer of gases in the atmosphere, and if the proportions of these gases change, obviously the greenhouse effect is altered. This brings us to the enhanced greenhouse effect.
Here is a diagram of the carbon cycle:
I won't talk in-depth about the natural elements of the carbon cycle, but the one important thing to know is that like all biogeochemical cycles (and all natural systems in general), the carbon cycle maintains an equilibrium, so that there is generally a stable amount of carbon in any part of the system. However, since the industrial revolution, humans have greatly influenced this cycle. Fossil fuels such as oil and coal take millions of years to form under the earth's surface, but humans are burning them at a much faster rate. These fossil fuels generally contain an assortment of organic compounds, which exothermically combust in oxygen to form carbon dioxide and water vapour. (That's complete combustion, in reality you also get some C(s) and carbon monoxide but they aren't important). In effect we're putting a lot more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than can be cycled at a natural rate, the result of which is we're adding to the greenhouse gases, meaning there is more capacity for absorbing and emitting heat. Therefore the Earth gets warmer.
I've just done carbon dioxide as an example. Methane is the other greenhouse gas of concern. I believe that's mainly as a result of agriculture, but I haven't done research for that, so someone else can check that.
Now usually when I post an explanation like this, people who don't believe in anthropogenic climate change just ignore it, because they can't come up with any arguments, because they're wrong. The only response I've ever gotten was "Yeah I understand all the science behind if but I just don't believe there's enough evidence". Which aside from being wrong:
Is the equivalent of saying "Oh yeah, it all makes total sense, I just don't believe in it."
TL;DR: If you can't be bothered reading this then you shouldn't be posting in this thread, because if you don't know anything about the topic then your opinion is invalid. I've even included pictures to make it easier.
The only people left who don't believe in global warming are people who don't actually know what they're talking about, and generally, they're too scared to do some research and find out for themselves, because inside, they know they're wrong.
I'm not going to lie, I have to evidence. I have 0 proof to back me up but it's just my opinion, not going to change even how much evidence you slam down my throat.
Well in that case you're not only ignorant, you're stupid. Excuse me for coming over too strong here but in the face of logical, well thought out and well presented evidence, to deny 'because I said so' is nothing but a childish level of blatant stupidity. Good one.

There are still people who don't believe in global warming and protecting the environment? How cute.
Global warming is a bunch of ******** to feed algore more money.
Protecting the enviornment is diffrent. Dam loggers!
It would take 1 million years for us to manualy change temperature up 1 degree farenheight by burning fossile fuels. Were still coming out of an ice age. Within the next few decades (the sun is stabalizing) temperature will start droping again. Its earths natraul cycle.
I'm not going to lie, I have to[sic] evidence. I have 0 proof to back me up but it's just my opinion, not going to change even how much evidence you slam down my throat.

The CO2 levels go up a few years after the tempurature goes up, so that prove that man-made global warming is BS.
Also, did people drive cars 3.4 million years ago?
