There is a town in Canada called Vulcan (Named after the god) after Star Trek became popular, it ended up having multiple Star Trek related tourist attractions.

Star Trek's Ferengi were supposed to be the main enemies in The Next Generation, with many episodes showing their greed and making it very clear that they were all capitalists. However, they were demoted to comic relief and replaced by the Borg, who definitely make better bag guys.

A FUTURENYANCAT FUN FACT
FNC originated from a SMW styled nyan cat attempt that I tried to make for my youtube account:
Suddenly, since I like robots, I decided that my SMW styled nyan cat will be as futuristic. So I modified this poptart cat into a future nyan cat.
This was originally called as Future Nyan in the Minecraft Forums - but due to my name change, I changed it to Future Nyan Cat.
I updated the FNC sprite to match with the Nyan Cat's walking pose and I added new walking poses. They are on the FNC2002 forums, though.
The Porygon shown in Electric Soldier Porygon were referenced as Unit-00 and Unit-01, which is a reference to Unit-00 and Unit-01 in Neon Genesis Evangelion.
