I, personally, love writing.
Whether it's on the computer, on paper, just imagining things in my head.
I find that I have all these ideas floating around in my head, and most of them end up unused :sad.gif:
So when I write, I get to share my ideas with other and that somehow makes me happy.
I kind of like writing, but I always seemed to be bad at writing at school because they always chose the weirdest things to write about. For example: "The Box", "What a mess!", and a few others.
This really limits what you can write about.

I don't really enjoy writing as such, but I occasionally do it anyway because I want to see if I'm good at it by writing a novel. I've sent some short stories I wrote to a number of people to be reviewed and they generally liked them, but I shouldn't form an opinion of my skills based on that.
It's true though, at school they give you the most retarded things to write about. In high school I usually fared poorly at essays and compositions, because the title just wasn't very appealing. My other problem with writing essays was that I would never write more than 3 pages and sometimes not more than 2. Still, when the subject happened to be a good one, I tended to get a 9 (which is basically an A in British schools) even whilst writing about half the amount you were supposed to. Perhaps compressing is my strongest field in writing.
I know what you mean. One day I hope to become a published author, but I struggle to fill the stories in. I leave out small details, that good authors put in. I'm working on it, though, and my written works are gradually becoming longer.
I used to be a very good writer when I was younger in 3rd grade and stuff. Most of it was comedy because it was free writing but I had a good creativity. And there was this assignment where we had to write a story about a picture and I had a girl opening a shed door to see a floating, glowing pumpkin. I don't remember how it went but it was the best in the class. (By grades) I'm not saying I have perfect grammar and the big words to make everything sound intelligent. That's what I hate about writing, is that it's supposed to be about creativity but it's turned more into grammar and using the fancy words.
Powers are for the weak. I have no powers. I mean - unless you count the power to blow minds with my weapons-grade philosophical insights. I'm a thought-o-coaster, I'm the conundrummer in a band called Life Puzzler.
Of course I enjoy that, otherwise I wouldn't be here.
Anyways, creative writing is fun in my opinion, but only if I can get my ideas onto paper. Otherwise it just irritates me because I have no way of sharing my story.
Love writing. Since I was a kid I've had all these ideas in my mind, and none of them had anywhere to go. Sometimes I tried to explain them to people verbally, but that was always awkward and uninteresting, and most of the time they didn't get it. But last year I tried writing about them, and immediately discovered that I was great at it. I was destined for it. Now, it's one of the things I look forward to every day, and the only thing I think about is extending the plots or settings.

You don't have to write novel-length pieces. There's tons of writers who do much better making short stories.
