yesterday, i had math class and while we were writing notes i didn't understand half the stuff he was teaching because he didn't really explain it well. And i didn't have my math book in class since i forgot it at home, so i couldn't study off the book to do the homework or even start it.
So i just drew in the class until the one hour passed by for the bell to ring.
Is it bad that i am looking online for the answers and learning from the internet instead of just plain out not doing it and getting a F? I know how to do almost half the work he gave us after doing my homework with help from the internet, Is this called cheating(?), or is it just me trying to avoid staying in after school since i have a F in that class to study.
People say he's a good teacher but i disagree -__-
If you're not copying it's fine. You're trying to learn - you're not obligated to learn from his book and his class, just not to copy someone else's work and say it's your own.
You should be proud of yourself, IMO

that's very bad dude I will recomend to do every asignment that your teacher does, that's how notch developed the game he did good in school got colllege degree graduated and made minecraft for us.
Do it, it is not like the internet is going to become LESS accessible. As long as you learn and not just look up the exact answer.
The better question is.... Wolframalpha..... is using a super computer for math cheating? Especially with, as previously stated, the internet only becoming more accessible so you will always have sites like that. why not learn with it?

Well, im sure he failed a quiz. and hes just looking for an alternative for the failing! a pass!
Ok, so I don't have to make my own thread, I want to ask a question.
(In Math)
Is learning how the equation is done, then applying that to a program to do it for me over and over for all the different questions considered cheating? I know how to do it myself, it's almost the same as using a calculator. But it's a bit more ... advanced. So, is that cheating?

Where are you getting this information from? It sounds unfounded to me.

That's not cheating. That's genius! Don't work hard, work smart.
plagiarism is not illegal. Your high school English teacher may have been able to fail you if you plagiarized something, but a judge cannot hold you legally accountable. Copyright infringement, though, is illegal.

If you copy-written it then yes.
