I think it's entirely unnecessary and perpetuates this notion we "owe" African Americans somehow for the atrocities that happened almost two centuries ago. For that matter, I also think affirmative action is unnecessary.
It's not racist, everyone just gets butthurt because they it's (recommended) that the school teach about black history for a whole month. Anyway, it's not like people actually follow "Black History Month" program outside of Middle School and Elementary anyway. My school is 75% black and we don't learn about anything that month other than our normal lessons. People make too big a deal over this ****, and it's annoying.
In conclusion, ya'll just butthurt. The sooner we do away with things that others deem "unfair," the sooner this bitching stops.

Originally, it was used to empower black people, who previously had trouble being society due to discrimination. Now, that's not nearly as much of an issue(It still is, in some places, but not as much), so it's really more questionable if it even has a purpose now.
But if people feel it should be up, I'm not going to try and argue with them to take it down.
I thought we were equal. I want my White History Month.

When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. I don't want your damn lemons! I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!

I agree soo much, the only way Racism will ever stop is if people can learn to forget the past and move on
You heard that, green and red.
