This poll is being used to help me decide which one is probably the better choice, since I want to participate in both, but I doubt I'll have the time to do both at the same time. I'd like some insight from some people who've done this stuff as well(despite the fact that I have a brother that plays guitar... HE WILL NOT TEACH ME!!!), that way I'm not just looking at numbers.
I'm really intrigued by judo and taekwondo, and the guitar would probably be a bass. Any information about other martial arts that are not as popular (karate and kung-fu seem too cliche for me), that'd be cool too. Thanks for helping me out!
I can't comment on which is cooler, that's subjective. Objectively speaking, learning a martial art to defend yourself is probably going to be more practical than playing the guitar. On the other hand, unlike martial arts, Once you learn how to play a guitar, you're kind of done, unless you want to be the next slash. You could learn guitar and then take martial arts after you've become competent at the guitar, and then you'd have both.
Also, you asked for suggestions on martial arts. I'd say systema. You could punish a man just by touching him, like this:

1. That's really a good point.
2. That looks like an awesome martial art, but I don't think I'd be able to find someone to teach me... (That kind of defeats the purpose of lesser-known suggestions, but I could always figure out some sort of solution...)

That's awesome, I kind of used some of those systema techniques when I was a kid(not knowing, of course), they seem a lot better than those karate lessons I had been taking a few years back.
That looks like an awesome martial art.
One of my favorite martial arts, similar to systema: Aikido

I took Martial art classes for 4 years, then I got bored with it, so I went into guitar for 1 and a half years.
Nothing like breaking bricks with your dicks.

EDIT: Gah, posted just the quote...
That looks nice too. Now I'm actually going to check the poll.
