Basically, what is your favorite console and why?
Mine is split between PC and the 360.
PC for the fact you can do many things on it.
And 360 for the fact that most games are on the 360 now a days.

A PC isn't a console. :biggrin.gif:
But yeah, PC. Better graphics, better everything.
I don't play online so the network issues don't bother me, the console itself looks classy, the menu system is simple and elegant instead of the cluster**** the 360 calls a menu, it has some awesome games to download, and most its exclusive games are more entertaining for me than 360 or Wii exclusives. I can also play all of my old original Playstation games on the PS3, while, as far as I know, the 360 will only play certain original Xbox games. Not to mention, it plays Blu-Ray so I can actually watch movies in HD on my HDTV now.
That's not to say I don't eventually intend to get an Xbox 360 and a Wii. Both have games that I'm interested in playing, and both have their own applications. I'd just rather play God of War than Fable, or Little Big Planet than Super Mario Galaxy.
As far as PCs go, the last PC that I did any serious gaming on was a Commodore Amiga 2000. Aside from that, I find a controller more comfortable than a mouse and keyboard, and I don't have the money to buy a proper gaming PC anyway.

PC
But a console?
PS2.
It was the first console that had the power to allow developers to make whatever their imagination could create, assuming they had a skilled staff and they knew how to optimize correctly. It had online, an EXCELLENT and large library of single player campaigns (anyone else miss good single player games? Current gen seems to lack them), and there is NO better way to play a game with friends then on split screen. None.
Oh. I chose PS3 because I thought we were voting for consoles. But anyway, I choose PS3 over 360 because online is free, the system has better graphics, and it's more stable and easier to service.

This. My buddy has been trying to get into consoles, and I finally played a game with him...
PC <3 me Foreva! Now maybe it's just me or my friends, but playing on a console makes you "cooler" than being a PC guy.
I need new friends.

I love Blizzard, but god help me, WoW is a giant money engine that uses human souls as fuel.
ZERO load time, saved data right on the carts; controllers kick ass and their influences can still be seen in today's controllers; the Playstation controller's button arrangement, for example (imagine if it was inspired by the colecovision controller... *shudder*. Great games like Super Mario Kart, Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, EarthBound, Link to the past, Donkey kong country 1-3, etc. And the technical info is freely available thanks to people like y0shi de-capping the various chips in cartridges and the console itself.
And the FC16-GO just sweetens the deal.
PC isn't a console, btw. real question ought to be "gaming platform" if that needs to be a option...
PC, Because anything consoles can do PC can do better.
I mean, just look at the PSN now. That would never happen for PC because PC's network is called the internet, and that is never going down.

And it doesn't have hackers sprawling around getting your credit card info.
