likewise the universe could have been created looking billions of years old
Seems like a pretty deceitful thing to do. Create a young universe that's completely indistinguishable from an old universe and then only reveal the truth to a backwards, misogynistic people living in the middle of a damn desert. Didn't even bother telling the Chinese or any of the native American civilizations around at the time that were actually literate.

Look here! There is evidence if you look, and it is good not to blindly accept something because it says its true. I have seen claims form many religions, and I became christian using my better judgement. And you posted that Hindu religion; that certainly isn't the bible, and there is perhaps small amounts of what happened in it, but use your head!
So I'm reading Origin of Species right now. Is it a good book to read? I had my friend read it first so she could mark all of the stuff in there that is wrong or might confuse you. I have the 150th anniversary addition and it has extra stuff like the "missing link" and Charles religious views and so I have come to ask a question. Do you think that Charles stopped believing God because of his finds or was it other things involved? If you ask me if his 3 children would never have died he might not of became Agnostic. Pain and sadness will really mess with someones mind in strange ways.

I do use my head and I wish you would too. I have read both the Holy Bible and Bhagavad Gītā. I'm almost 100% certain you haven't. I see absolutely no difference in the texts. Hell, Krishna even means Christ.
I'll entertain your link you posted, but I'm guessing I won't find anything I haven't already dismissed.

Origin of Species is a good book, but you must realize it's 150 years old and we've come A LONG way since then. Some of what Darwin proposed has been dismissed, but the general idea hasn't. All evidence coincides with evolution.
If you TRULY want to educate yourself on evolution, you will research peer-reviewed scientific studies.

Correct, I have not yet read the entire bible, this summer probably I will, and if I find problems with it, I'll check it out.
I certainly haven't read the Bhagavad Gītā, but I seriously doubt it is exactly the same. But if it is, isn't that yet more evidence? If you would show me these "problems" in the bible, perhaps then I could see why there are or aren't problems.
Think, is "7 days" from what perspective? Perhaps God said "let their be light" and the big bang or something like that happened, and from his perfect perspective a few days later he created man. Even evolution could match up, but I seriously doubt this. I don't know the details, but I believe for reasons in my other post, and more; while many christians dimiss evolutiong without examining the evidence on the other side, atheists do the same thing.
You know, I'm curious what you think the problem is with Evolution and the Big Bang?
I want to see if you'll say the same thing as everyone else.

Evolution doesn't match up with the bible stating "according to its kind", so plants, animals ect. evolving into different kinds, and God creating Adam from dust, so that's why not evolution, and God creating the universe with the big-bang doesn't seem a proble, as long as it happened in 7 days.
edit: to above post, its more evidence because it would match up, the same thing in a different area. But as I said, I doubt it.

I can see that you're going on the automatic assumption that God is real and everything in the Bible is true. Where do you believe the evidence for God lays?
And, dare I become too clichéd, where did God come from?

So you're saying that anything that doesn't match up with the bible is automatically false?
I am going on the informed assumption the bible is true. I see no problem with this, as what else could I do? I am showing that science can work with it.
And for where did God come from, he created this universe where time and cause and effect apply, and "before then" come from would be a meaning less concept.
edit: to above post, yes, you assume it is wrong because the bible seems to be true. It is a good idea to check what doesn't work with the bible, to see if it could be true.
I have not read all of it, but I have read many parts of it, and know and trust people who have read more of it.
No need to throw around insults; my decision is informed. I am young, and want to know the truth. However, I doubt either of us will be changed here, but I certainly hope you do believe.

That's called dogma and you shouldn't subject yourself to that kind of nonsense.

"Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music."
I have read the bible, and I believe that you have not. It is the most disgusting, violent discriminatory thing I have ever read. Hitlers beliefs were better than what the bible teaches.
The bible is the ramblings of a bunch of desert nomads who lived 2000 or so years ago. Taking the bible as factual means you have to take every legend ever written as factual, because they all have the same validity (None).
Tell me how exactly the Bible is "evil"? If your talking about how God killed people then that's alright because I mean he made them he owns them he can take them out whenever he feels like it.
does this mean I'm God?

Well, at least you have based your beliefs on it and argued it to be accurate.
