I'm not going to explain one of the most complicated theories that ties every branch of modern biology together to some random ignoramus on a forum. Educate yourself.
Tell me this, boy: If Primeapes came from Mankeys, why are there still Mankeys?!
Because Mankeys are still good at living.
Evolution is not a linear progression. Groups will split up and if you give them enough time apart from each other, they will develop different traits based on what works in their environment. All apes are evolving into humans is a false statement. Humans are in fact evolving along a different path from other apes. In another few million years the descendants of humans and the descendants of chimps will be even more different from each other than humans are to chimps today.

I said that as a joke, but you're awesome for replying to it seriously. XD

Well, it is a common argument with the creationist crowd, and it seems like you can never explain it enough times for them to understand it. I guess I would be wasting my time either way. :tongue.gif:

I don't think Creationists have ever made a Pokemon argument, but I wouldn't be surprised.

"Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music."
When I think and remember amazing places in the world, the beauty of space, music, the diversity of life, even brilliant mathematical ideas, all the complexities of this magnificent universe, and have to believe it was made by an intelligent creator. Also, with the universe being created in 7 days, Adam was created a baby, the trees were not new, the earth had age... The Universe could have been created already having age. I don't want to get involved with this thread much, with insults everywhere...
I think it does. The bible says Adam was created a man, not a child; likewise the universe could have been created looking billions of years old; and with 7 days, who's perspective? Before the sun or earth, or even after because of relativity.

Yes, it could have been created looking billions of years old, but we have no reason to believe this, just like we have no reason to believe there is a god. It's nonsense.

If you read The Bhagavad Gītā and then come to the conclusion that it holds no truth and and is just a bunch of stories. You will then understand why we don't take the Bible seriously.

Think, is "7 days" from what perspective? Perhaps God said "let their be light" and the big bang or something like that happened, and from his perfect perspective a few days later he created man. Even evolution could match up, but I seriously doubt this. I don't know the details, but I believe for reasons in my other post, and more; while many christians dimiss evolutiong without examining the evidence on the other side, atheists do the same thing.

I will examine any piece of evidence for a creator as long as it isn't scripture, anecdotes, testimonies, assertions, or "feelings". Feel free to present your evidence.

Edit: Fixed the link. Was missing an "I".
Now, once you have a firm grasp on what evolution is and what the theory of evolution states, you can come back and have a discussion.

Huh, I seem to get that one a lot.
I know, I messed up the link. Click the new one or just type in www.talkorigins.org
I just missed an "I".
Oh I definitely know what you mean, but you misread his comment. He said Primeapes and Mankeys. Pokemons. :smile.gif:
Ah, then it flew over my head. I haven't played Pokemon since blue, and I'll be damned if I can remember much about it. :biggrin.gif:
yer momma
but seriously, what does this have to do with evolution?
We don't have enough knowledge of the singularity to answer that question. Claiming to know would be an argument from ignorance.
Try to talk about evolution though. This isn't a Big Bang thread.
It could have been created last Tuesday. Don't bring that weaksauce in here.
That doesn't make any sense.
