I used to have a terrible fear of the dark. When I was around 12, I went into mining caves near my house alone. Inside one of the larger cave rooms, I sat in complete darkness for 2 hours. After that, I had no fear of the dark, and afterwards often had happy cave dreams. Of course, Minecraft is a natural game for me :V
I was also afraid of spiders into my teenage years. To get over it, I kept some house spiders in a jar for a month, and fed them. I let them climb of my hand, etc. no more fear of spiders.
The key to overcoming yourself to any fear is simple: expose yourself to the source of the fear. Do this repeatedly, and you decondition yourself to the association between stimulus and fear response.
How are you supposed to do this with fears of vomiting and others which aren't normally repeatable with consent? This method worked with my minor fear of the dark when I was little, but everyone has a basement to train with.
Many have told that getting exposed to source of fear is good way to get ower it.
this works on minor fears such as Spiders (Bad joke warning!!! If you hawe fear of losing people you love, this method does not work, killing them does not erease your fear!!!)
The way to deal with bigger fears, such as war, death, and end of world is that to just make yourself learn that you can't affect it. so just live happily and dont let it restrict you.
also if this thread remains popular ill update OP whit good comments and such time to time.
also i know that my grammar isint best bossible (such as when to use W or V) english is not my main language, just bear with me :biggrin.gif:

Afraid of flying an airplane and I do not know why.
omg heights, that feeling on the bottom of your feet once you notice your high up... *urgh*
Do not have a fear of puking like some others in this thread. To be honest one time I threw up and I just decided to swallow all of the puke.. didn't taste half bad to be honest, one time a looong time ago I threw up a small amount and spit it out in what ever i was eating.. otherwise only fear is heights and airplanes, well at least thats the only fears I can think of atm.
EDIT: I am fine with extreme rollercoasters and such.

I think these fears can be seperated into the casual, and those with questionmarks
Fear of vomit;
Just the sight of vomit makes you vomit.
This might be a natural reaction as vomit naturally means poisonous food. The human nature etc.
As for heights, may very well be the same, as it is not the height your on, but the difference in height you and the "other" ground is at.
So the fear of making you go to edges. Naturally explainable and there for you so you can protect yourself better.
But how about selective fear? fear is useful when you want to protect yourself.
Not really, it's just the feeling of nausea that's very unsettling. I can hear someone vomiting and usually not care (although I think watching it would make me feel sort of sick, but whom would it not?).
