Due to me needing to upload a lot of pictures from my Super Mario 64 project and keeping track of them, I need a good image hosting site.
My impressions on the ones that i have tried:
Photobucket:
This is actually a good site. Good access to all codes and links for each image directly from the thumbnail screen.
However... They have a bandwidth limit, which gets filled up. I've used 8,5gb/10gb of my bandwidth by now this month...
Imageshack:
Overall bad impression of this one. You get a small thumbnail of all the pictures, and they're cropped to squares. To access links and codes, you have to open a "popup" window by pushing a miniature button aside the tumbnail. Setting up albums to access is also idioticly hard...
Tinypic:
I haven't even tried this one due to not being able to f****** register. It won't accept my photobucket accout, even though it wants you to make one to register...
Flickr:
Seems good at a first glance. However it's hard to find links to the full size pictures, and badly set up.
Do you have any other sites that you have a good experience from?
What's so wrong with imageshack?
You know, you can right click -> show image and basically just post the URL, no need for the thumbnail thingy... :/
A lot of my pics sorta look like each other. Pics from the same location at different stages of development...
Looking at the thumbnails, I often mistake them. And I can't find a way to name them either...
I use imageshack with the Imageshack Uploader program- I can batch upload pictures easily from my desktop without having to go to the site. Very handy. You still have to deal with the online album if you want to go back and review previously uploaded photos, though.
tinypic if it is a "upload and forget" photo that I don't want to keep track of or if it will get TONES of traffic (freaking pictures of my seeds on the seed forum overloaded my photobucket account).
but if I want to keep it organized and stuff I use photobucket.

Simple albums. Simple upload... simple everything really.
And fairly short URLs.

The framing of this circle on the ground
Brings whirlwinds, tempests, thunder and lightning.
