So, I'm interested in trying to play the ukulele, but I'm wondering if it's easier to play than guitar? I heard that it was, just want to hear some other opinions. I know the basics of guitar, but I'm pretty bad at it. I really love the sound of a ukulele though, so I'm wondering if maybe I could pull it off. Thanks.
Ukuleles are fun. They are quite a bit easier to break into then the guitar as they mostly all have nylon strings that require much less finger strain to push down; thus allowing you to bar chords much easier. Beyond basic strumming and chording though, ukuleles can be every bit as challenging (and satisfying) as guitar ie
I play ukulele, piano, and guitar (I come from quite a musical family). Ukulele is my favorite, and it's good practice for guitar! Also, once you get good with keys and notes, you'll be able to play lots of different instruments! Keep Strumming, TheMindIsPoison

I play the ukulele. It is defiantly easier than guitar. I play a soprano one which is quite small. Ukuleles are higher pitched than guitar and that makes the note more distinguishable. I guitar is lower so the note is harder to hear when you strum all the strings. If you want something the size of a guitar then you can get a baritone ukulele which is the biggest kind. It's a little smaller than the average guitar. Hope this helped.

So this sound bad?
It does sound bad if someone is terrible at it, but that can be said for every other instrument.
I wanted to be one of the cool kids.
