I'm not sure how many people actually use Netflix or understand what it is,
But basically, you pay around 8$ a month and you get unlimited access to their listed
Television programs as long as you have internet access.
I use it and a love it.
I was having a conversation with a friend over whether or not Netflix
is a serious threat to cable companies. I mean, I choose not to watch cable,
Just because of the fact that shows I actually enjoy aren't on when it's
convenient.
I don't understand why my family didn't just end their satellite subscription
and began watching Netflix all of the time, but I'm happy as long as I can
Watch it through my laptop.
Do you think cable companies should be worried about Netflix? I personally
think that once Netflix begins to catch on, there's going to be a serious dent
in Tv company's wallets, but I'd like to hear what you think.
I think Netflix can only stream things online from DVDs, which means you would still have to have cable to watch new shows and new episodes. Not to mention you need to know what you want to watch before you can watch it with Netflix; on the other hand, with cable you can just flip to any channel you have and watch it if you like it or change it if you don't.

It used to be that way, not so much any more. I have a set of some 5 channels that *might* have something on (but usually don't) and I'm 99% guaranteed that there's nothing but garbage on anything but those channels. If I want to browse, I go to YouTube.

Never attribute to malice what can adequately be explained by incompetence.
INot to mention you need to know what you want to watch before you can watch it with Netflix;
I guess it's true that Netflix doesn't encourage people to watch new programming,
But I'm a sour person who lost faith in most current programing. There are things
Nowadays that are okay, but that's all that's out there.
