There is no meaning to life. As nervous species (as in, people with nerve system), our goal is to survive and for as long as we can, while us humans have the ability to live. Happiness is caused by special substances your brain can produce. Those nice substances are the meaning of your life.

I was watching some science video on youtube. This brought an interesting basic philosophical idea up to my attention. The biologists in the video said that every cell needs another cell to keep telling it to live. If one cell doesn't communicate this idea of "keep living" then the cell self destructs and recycles itself.
To me that is the meaning of life. Like in the movie Tron legacy: the idea of removing yourself from the equation. Not in a suicidal way but in a way that benefits society. Think of the future and how to make it better for everyone. This isn't how I live my life but it is something I strive for. It is also very nice for people to tell me to keep going and have support. Isn't that what drives everything? Does Notch keep working on minecraft because people everywhere keep telling him to?
To just see you smile, to just hear your laughter. That split second of a glimmer in your eyes.
Good question. Personally, I'm not sure if humans have a meaning -- in the sense that we are here to accomplish something specific. Ultimately, we're so insignificant anyway, nothing really matters. In my mind, the purpose of life is to be happy. This contains many "sub-meanings" because a lot of different things make me happy. Being with my friends & family, helping people, etc. That's how I view it.
One of the posts above mentioned that life has different meanings whether you look at it from a biological view, or a scientific point of view, etc. I think that's a pretty good explanation.
I believe that life is just a journey, a passage that will never be permanent. Yes i do believe in one god, i believe jesus was just a prophet, nothing more. I believe in an after life. I'm muslim and the quran teaches that life is a test to prove to ourselves why we deserve heaven or hell ( god already knows who deserves what, life is to show us why we deserve it). thats just my 2 cents

As a Catholic I was taught the meaning of life was to be happy. I wasn't aware the churches had differing opinions on the matter.

Arsenic replaced phosphorous, not carbon.
And they actually forced it to use arsenic instead of phosphorous. It didn't do too much of it naturally.
