Almost everyone has a family. Or at least HAD one. Discuss it here :3
My family, although a bit dysfunctional at times, is pretty good overall. My mom is the talkative sensitive type, and my dad is the cut-to-the-chase type. I'd like to think I got a bit of each of that, as I know when to discuss something but also when to get to the point of a situation.

We sang: "I don't know where we go from here"
That is the anthem, the slogan, the summary of events
Soon to be 20 year old brother-Grew up with him until he went to college, and will be moved out permanently when/if him and his friends buy a house together. We went through a lot of crap together, but honestly we've spent WAY too much time together. e.g. if we spend more than a couple hours together alone we want to strangle each other. In small doses he's okay, but otherwise he can be a tool
23 year old brother-Moved out when he was like 18 to live with the other side of his family (half brother btw), and was always pretty quiet. We never really got that close-even though he mostly lived in my house.
Mom - a kind person you just want to choke; tries to be kind but turns out to be a loud arrogant douche
Dad - a distant loving guy, works himself to death to support the family; does more than my mom in day and never complains about anything
Brother - laid back cool guy; he has a tendency to laugh about gay jokes that I don't understand, I'm always thinking "Yeah some people are like that" when he expects a laugh
Grandmother - my favorite member of the family; she spends most her time watching science fiction and comic book movies, she is such an interesting and incredibly kind person
Grandfather - just no... he's one giant lie, a constant troll; always has a smile and tries to say "****" things in a loving voice, just watches game shows all day complaining
I have an incredible amount of respect for my father. I don't know how to tell him because he such a different person than me.

I want to meet this grandfather troll character :biggrin.gif:
-Dad: Kind of an ass, but he's cool.
-Mom: I can get away with a buncha **** with her
-Brother: Don't talk to him much, I don't know what he act's like candidly. He frequents /v/, apparently.
-Maternal Uncle: Pree Cool, he's a carpenter and he sells RV.
-Maternal Aunt: Laughs too much, like at unfunny ****. It's annoying as hell when her and my mom get together. She looks like Peggy Hill, too.
-Maternal Cousin: Talks too much, but she's like 5 so it's cool I guess.
-Paternal Uncle: Functionally illiterate, but a pretty cool guy. He has a sweet mullet.
-Paternal Aunt: a tremendous gossip, lies and blows **** out of proportion.
-Paternal Cousin: Annoying, thinks he knows everything, tried to argue with me that Semi-Automatic weapons were "machine guns"
I have like seven hundred cousins on my dad's side, so I just mentioned the one I'm most closely related to.
-Maternal Grandfather: I didn't talk to him for like 8 years, then I re-met him at my Maternal Grandmother's funeral. He's a real nice guy, I wish I could see him more often.
-Maternal Grandmother: deceased
-Paternal Grandfather: deceased
-Paternal Grandmother: Really "country", but she's nice. Her cooking sucks though.

You plan to mold him into a little pimp? what?
Mum- Caring, but can be quite annoying and over protective.
Dad- Nothing is right unless it is done by him, always criticising me.
Older Brother- ok, but can be very moody. Despite this he's pretty cool.
Half brother- Druggie, stealer and lives off others when he is completely fit for work. I like to call him scum.
I won't go into specifics, but my parents got divorced, and both remarried, and now my mom and step-dad got divorced, my dad and step-mom are together, for now, and as a result of all of that, I have a bunch of half or step-siblings.

My family is pretty much perfect.
Mother and father love each other dearly and sincerely and have been married 40 years. Me and my three siblings all get along well and are all moderately successful, depending how you define success. We aren't wealthy at all, but neither are we dirt poor. I have a great relationship with both my parents and pretty good ones with my siblings and their children.
I have never met, seen or heard about a family as close and stable as mine.

My family is very similar. My parents have been happily married for 33 years and are now both retired. Dad always lived in the city, so decided to buy a place in the country and become a farmer after retirement. He loves it. Mom grew up in the country, so she doesn't seem to mind too much.
My younger brother and I both worked in the oil industry for several years and were quite successful. He is now a biomedical engineer, while I am a professional historian and teacher. We get along very well.
