I will stab whoever made this to DEATH if it passes.
I will be as pissed as a angry lion.
It doesn't have to pass. It's a treaty. All that has to happen is for it to be signed by the various presidents and prime ministers of the nations participating.

The inquisitors were torturing Harry.
First, Ignatius used the rock.
Then Billy asked Harry if he wanted to read his BDSM blog. Harry was so surprised that his pants flew right off. He was wearing women's underpants. The inquisitors were wearing them, too.
I've read the agreement in full. It is absolutely ridiculous. A lot of it is unreadable, and a lot of the sentences simply don't make sense; simply due to their system of bracketing in the opinions of different countries. I guess they're not concerned about readability - it's better to keep it difficult to read so when it's leaked, the public knows less about it. The entire agreement has been made in private for this reason precisely. There are some very bad things in the agreement. ISPs will be held responsible for anything you download. This will work because they are obviously in a great position to snoop around and see everything you do. If a company thinks that people are infringing on them, all they have to do is contact the ISPs, and the ISPs are forced to investigate. If you are merely -suspected- of having pirating, your entire tower can be seized. You basically get no say, ever, and the authorities can do as they please. Also, their descriptions of how much you can be fined are extremely vague, and essentially give them the ability to fine you for however much they want. Which is absolute crap.
On 10 March 2010, the European Parliament adopted a resolution[53] criticizing the ACTA with 663 in favor and 13 against, arguing that "in order to respect fundamental rights, such as the right to freedom of expression and the right to privacy" certain changes in the ACTA content and the process should be made.[54]
It doesn't look like ACTA is going through anytime soon.

Er, I think the changes have already mostly been made. They're not withdrawing from the agreement. They just disagree with a few parts of it. I can't remember what, specifically, though.
If you'd REALLY like to do something proactive about this - build. Protests do nothing and violence just lands you in jail, but http://partyvan.info/wiki/Meshnet might actually have some desirable results.

Just a heads up, it's counter feiting. Counterfitting just doesn't sound like a very illegal activity.
Other than that, I'll agree that this is extremely overboard.

Yeah, it sounds like a lot of this bill is unconstitutional.
it is "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

Well, it'll make a lot of bad things look like cake and ice cream.
Nobody is touching my internet. ****ing government/corporate fags. I'd sooner burn my PC than let them get their dirty mittens on it.
Everyone eat some
You heard that, green and red.
I strongly encourage you all to read this (regardless of whether you've read the leaked document):

It's a review of the agreement by the Washington College of Law. Almost everyone is in agreement that it is awful. Because it really is.
It doesn't look like ACTA is going through anytime soon.
