I recently came back to my MCF account, and it was like stepping on an ancient tomb covered in dust and vines. It's been so long since I last used this account. I frankly changed a lot over the years, especially on the gap between 2016 and 2018 (I haven't used this account on 2017 at all). I'm downright embarrassed of many things I found buried within my past activity.
I hope nobody judges me for my past self's immaturity... especially since I was very young for most of the time I've had this account, considering I only turned 18 this year.
I've been on this forum for too long now, and I still haven't told my actual location yet... Also, FYI, I joined 12/26/14, though it lists it as the 27th because I joined at night.
...but yea, the difference in behavior between 11 and 18 is phenomenal.
Yes, I also think that.
For example there is more maturity.
In fact I think that all those who are here since 2011 were under 18 years old.
(For example, I was less than 18 when I entered here).
Oh no, all the 2013ers are half a decade old, now.
OH NO
Sadly, those are no longer there.
We have you, but you rarely post.
In the year 2019 will be 10 years of MCF, but I guess that there will be hardly anyone who has contributed anything in OT.
I hope that in these years there is someone, who as you say, has half a decade.

Forums are just less interesting these days than they used to be half a decade ago. Everything's on-demand, like Discord, which overshadows time-based conversation methods like forums. (That said, I think forums are almost always 100x more polite than Discord servers, as they're easier to moderate.) I, a fellow 2011er, hardly post here as well, though I do come here kind of often, prowling for threads to chat in. It's just that almost none ever seem to appeal to me or capture my interest these days, which reflects on a low post rate.
Ah, I do admit I kinda miss the times from 2014, where the Minecraft Forums were pretty much my only method of socialization. And also because those truly were simpler times; my life has been really hard on me since 2016. God, my life nowadays just sucks.

Humbling thing to say, and if you keep that attitude up NOW and in the FUTURE, then you shouldn't let those who may judge you on your PAST bother you anyway. It's especially true because you were/are young (this is not the only reason it's true, though), and in my opinion, part of life is for learning, and sometimes that happens with a mess, so to speak.
Also, interesting remarks about the declining of forums. I remember back as early as the late 2000s/early 2010s when it was being said that the rise of Facebook (strange to have known that when it was just a "small" website that was just the mature college kid alternative to MySpace), among other things, was hurting forums, and you're right, the "on-demand" nature of communication, with the rise of smart phones and social media, Steam chat, Discord, and so on has risen, although there were similar things even prior to these. Forums simply aren't the big thing they were in the early and mid 2000s, but I guess we had BBS before that (that was before my time though), so it's all the same thing mostly done different ways. I still like forums for what they offer and I don't think they'll go extinct any time soon; their prime time is just passed, which happens to almost everything as progress (or regression) is made.
yesterday i joined the forum 5 years ago
nice
Congrats! It's been over six years for me since I first joined.
It has been too long here

You're still very young from my perspective

I don't even play Minecraft much anymore yet here I am on the Minecraft forums for some reason...

2 more months for 8 years here. Not sure if I should feel happy or sad that I'm getting old.

Same; I didn't want my account getting nuked, so I kinda half-returned. And yes, I agree on the maturity bit.

In 2 days I'll hit 7 years, 7 months, and 7 days.
