I live near the border between England and Scotland, so we get similar stuff.
It was freaky. I spent half the night boiling to death, unable to sleep, thought I was getting a bit of mercy when it started to cool down but spent the next half of the night kept awake by loud rain and the loudest thunder I've ever heard.
I know how you feel. Working at 6am, was bright and sunny then suddenly darkness. Followed by thunder that literally made my feet shake. Not often we get a thunderstorm this intense.

Can you match my resolve? If so then you will succeed. - Monty Oum
I mean, compared to every over thread in the Off Topic forum it is pretty popular. 6 pages of replies in one day is something I haven't seen in a long time. Still though, I hope this isn't the most activity we are going to get out of this thread because things are still pretty boring so far.
Yeah right now in my state it's going to be triple digits next week, I hate it.
I know what you mean, I used to live in Arizona for the longest time (more specifically, Lake Havasu for 12 years) and the summers in that city sucked. Temperatures of 120F was pretty much what to expect during the hottest days of summer.
I like these sort of threads because it attracts more people to the Off Topic, which is practically the only reason I am here. The community down here is way better than in the minecraft discussion threads. There certainly is a noticeable age gap in these.
Yeah I agree with the first part; though I don't really browse any other forum aside from the General Off Topic, General Gaming and Culture, Media & Arts so I can't really speak about the community in the more MC related forums. Hopefully this thread begins to revitalize the Off Topic section a bit. It's pretty weird that a site dedicated to one of the biggest fandoms has an Off Topic section with threads on the first page that haven't been replied to in days... and that's just the General Off Topic. Culture, Media and Arts is a lot worse with threads on the front page that haven't had replies in a months worth of time.
Cold is always better than hot since you can keep putting more layers on to keep warm, but there are only so many layers you can take off to keep cool until it's against the law.
Pretty much, I really don't care for hot or warm climates at all. I actually have a huge fan going off in my room 24/7 directed at the head of my bed. Even have it on during the winter months regardless of how cold it gets in the house.
