Your interests may evolve over time, you may become less interested in Minecraft, however this is a Minecraft forum and that's what the focus of this site will always be. The Off Topic section exists to provide a place for non-Minecraft discussion within our community but that discussion can't come at the expense of our core focus: Minecraft. Minecraft is a game played by people of all ages, and this website as a consequence is visited by people of all ages. Although we could conceivably invest time and energy into creating a walled garden for mature discussion that isn't suitable for our average member, it's a misallocation of resources and it compromises what we're trying to achieve, we don't want to have a forum filled with secret sections.
If you want to have mature discussions about non-Minecraft topics then you would be much better off finding forums that cater to those topics. There are many great websites for discussions of all sorts of topics, and discussions on those websites will far exceed the quality of the discussion you could expect to see here. If you want to discuss mature topics with the regulars in this section then you're more than welcome to create your own forum and invite those that you want to discuss these topics with, as has been done before.
this is the greatest thing of all time its like a return to 2012/2013 lol. fantastic.
I absolutely loved it. Some say it started a little slow in the beginning, but I didn't notice it.
-I cared about the characters
-The settings were beautiful
-Tied up some of the big plot holes in IV
-Showed the Alliance as an threat and shows why the Empire wants to get rid of them
-Really displays Imperial might
-Amazing set pieces
-Legendary callbacks/references to IV
-Words cannot describe
I saw it once yesterday and once today, and I'm going to see it at least one more time this week.
Rogue One Spoilers
It was pretty neat that they ended it right before A New Hope. I knew this took place before Episode IV, but I didn't know it occurred that soon before.
Anyway, I felt like it was a bit slow at the beginning but it became really good at the end. It was also pretty dark, and at some points it really felt like the original trilogy.
I liked the dark aspect to it, made it seem more mature and deeper than VII. I saw the slowness as setting up the the story for the ending, and just because something is slow doesn't make it bad. I for one was engrossed through the entire movie (including the 2nd time I watched it).
Specific points I liked... In spoilers
- When Chewy gets his legs blown off and becomes a wookie cyborg
I'm only putting single spoiler, it's entirely your fault if you click it open.
- When a couple stormtroopers talk about the T-16 speeder. The second I heard that I knew that the creators really cared
-The blue milk
-The two guys from the cantina showing up in Jeddha City
-Having Grand Moff Tarkin and Princess Leia, as well as Antilles
-Using the OG trenchrunning closeups for Red and Gold leaders
-When the x-wings attack Edau. I got the shivers.
-When the x-wings attack the shield generator and when the rebel fleet showed up. SHIVERS
-Tieing the ending to IV
-Darth Vader in the ending. The entire time I was watching that scene I was utterly euphoric.
