I suggest you all change your Minecraft account passwords and any passwords that're shared between sites. Mojang just lost 12000 accounts cracked into plaintext, so this is your heads-up.
I know for a fact people are trawling them to attempt breaking into other accounts, too.

Is that the second time in recent times that Mojang has, somehow, let passwords get in the hands of these wenches?

Likely wasn't Mojang themselves, more than likely a 3rd Party Site that is related to Minecraft. You likely wont have an issue. If it was Mojang then we would have been told by now as it is a big issue. I always suggest using a PW Manager like Lastpass though, really handy tool.

I mean I was affected and I've literally never given my MC login info out to anyone but Mojang.

Do you use said password for any other MC Related site? I find it very highly unlikely that Mojang was the one that was breached. Especially if only 12000 accounts are involved.

Used to be Nutimalist, then I lost my login.
How can you be so sure? We need to investigate everyone on the forums for Russian ties
I'll be damned. This may explain why my emails are gone. We must investigate this possibility immediately.
