Yeah, ISIS has yet to commit large-scale genocide. Really, things today are much better than they were, say, a hundred years ago -- as evidenced by the fact that credit card thieves are enough to make people think humanity is on a downwards trend.
Why are you acting like ISIS are the new nazi's? They're dying in drones on the other side of the planet. Besides when they're gone in a few years (shoutout if you're reading this 15 years later and ISIS is still going) at least there'll be a hell of a lot less extremists.

i think we should all use common sense and logic when we answer and ask a question but always stay open minded
just cause science fails to explain something does not mean its real (afterlife,big foot, ghosts etc..) does not mean its fake try to stay opened mined instead of closed

maybe cause they are... do you think killing innocent people cause they disagree with your religion is right? they hate everyone form the west. but not completely dying in droves over from what i have read there only slowing them down with the air strikes but they say a lot more must be done to stop them

Lately people have been doing increasingly bad things, with the recent threat of SWATting, different hacks, and credit card theft, do you think that the world is slowly becoming a more terrible place than it already was?
That's because people are outright miserable. You only need one reason to believe the world's a terrible place and most people have more than they can count. Get rid of it. Get over it. Life is full of unavoidable suffering; I know from experience. You might as well be as cheerful as you can in any given moment, even if all you can do is feel miserable. It comes and goes, like sound waves.
Telling people that the world is a terrible place will only perpetuate the problem; you might as well focus on building your own life up so that you are in a better position to help alleviate the problems that the world has. Remember, some people want to be happy and do the world some good but can't because they can't find a better alternative to what they've been constantly exposed to. Don't be too concerned about the world's problems. Be aware of them, but don't waste your time and energy putting them in the spotlight unless you plan to do something about it.
Normally I don't get involved in discussions like these because there's always someone out there who thinks they know all the answers. I will make an exception here because the very statement that the world is a terrible place will only produce more reasons to support that belief, and I don't think any intelligent person would want to entertain the thought too long. It's poisonous, contagious, and absolutely unnecessary. You might as well quit worrying about it. The world has its problems, but it's the only world we've got. So let's make the most of it.
