It's Medusa, and I think she is considered a goddess
Edit> Checked, she was once a beautiful priestess, she was turned into a monster.
Medusa was a lady who "dated" Poseidon in Athena's temple, so Athena cursed her and turned her to a Gorgon. When Perseus slayed her, her two kids sprang from her neck, since she wasn't able to give birth once she became a gorgon. Who are these kids ?
Pegasus and that other person, Chrysaor I think.
^^The kids part is according to Heroes of Olympus^^
I might also go for Mountain Trolls, Hippogriffs, or Arachne.
Athena kept cursing women and turning them to half-*things that many people dislike as spiders or snakes*
Favorite mythological creature? Alicorn. A pegasus and a unicorn mixed together. If that doesn't exist other than My Little Pony, unicorn.
If it's a thing people talk about, and has some sort of important history in a certain country as well as culture, then I would consider it "real". But it doesn't exist as it's called a mythical creature for a reason.

97% of teenagers would cry if they saw Justin Bieber on top of a tower about to jump. If you're the 3% who is sitting there with popcorn screaming "DO A BACKFLIP", copy and paste this as your signature.

"Odd is Benjamin Franklin playing tetherball with Van Helsing. Odd is a big toed tadpole tainted by the tides of a dawn since past. ODD IS A FORTY YEAR OLD OFFICER CRIES HIMSELF TO SLEEP EVERY NIGHT DREAMING ABOUT LIFE ON THE ROAD AS A TRAVELING NAKED CONTORTIONIST! NEVER RETURNING HOME! NEVER STOPPING OR BREAKING HIS STRIDE! Uhm. Unless he sells at TGI Fridays. ******* loves that place."
i think we should all use common sense and logic when we answer and ask a question but always stay open minded
just cause science fails to explain something does not mean its real (afterlife, big foot, ghosts etc..) does not mean its fake try to stay opened mined instead of closed

Minecraft is a spicy meme
Figured it was time for a change.
Well, it has it's own page on the Wikipedia.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
"good night, good luck" -dying light
