I haven't seen a thread about MtG so I thought I'd make one. Basically I'm creating this thread to discuss the game and allow people an alternative place to post decks and get some feedback. Also general discussion about the game, favorite cards etc. Basically anything you want (as long as it's MtG related). To get this thread going, I'll start us off with a question:
I am making a Selesnya deck just for the archangel of thune and scavenging ooze and Trostani because i believe that archangel will work! I BELIEVE IN THE ANGEL!
but for those more serious Saturday events im going to try out a boros deck. Boros Reckoners also Stormbreath dragon and aurelia, the war leader, just cause im transitioning from my older black/red tribal vampire deck
Pie, if you're running a Boros deck, why do you have Fleecemane lions in there? Mystery, most likely your local hobby shop/store that sells magic stuff (but not a big box store) will have Friday Night Magic where you can go and play for free (or sometimes a small amount). Use the link Piemancer provided to check if your store is listed.
Whoops corrected that those were for my selesnya deck
Anyways there is an upcoming $15 sealed coming up (meaning you pretty much get a free pack just for signing up)
seems like they are being a bit more generous as this is the 3rd one they had and they give you a slice of pizza and a bottle of water for coming too.
you ever get any little deals like that?

Heh... I played in the mid-90s, up to the early 2000s... quit for 10 years, and just recently got back into it a few months ago... it's a good TCG, and excellent to play in a face-to-face environment (Sealed and Draft are my main formats... same in pretty much any TCG/dTCG I play - I love limited).
I'm really curious to see how MtG reacts (if at all) to the recent upsurge in digital TCGs over the past couple years - their client for MtGO is really dated and rough feeling (and their MTG 201X series is way too limited compared to the original game).
For those that are interested, this is my standard Gruul deck that I'm running. It has a pretty good win rate within my school but I'm sure it will get destroyed come the next FNM.
Im not the best person at this game but it seems like you have a quite a few single cards in your deck, Especially for FNM it seems like your deck has to be pretty consistent to win
