Pretty much copy pasta'd from another forum, but it was a forum based on a professional E-sports team so the answers were pretty predictable.
But, I was wondering what the users of a forum that wasn't majorly dedicated to a game professional or competitive play would have to say about it.
Ahem..
What does the E-Sports scene mean to you? And in your eyes, how does the E-Sports scene compare to sports like football and basketball?
What's your opinion?
As for me, I love the concept, and I hardly notice anything majorly different between the two aside from the lack of physical activity in one compared to the other.
To me, "e-sports" are relatively enjoyable as something to watch when insomnia strikes or as noise in the background when I'm doing something else. Unlike actual sports I don't have any favorite competitors and don't follow any competitors year-after-year like I do with my favorite sports teams.
any meathead that can catch a football can play football, you don't need to be intelligent to play most sports, just be good at said sport, E-sports take a lot more brainpower than people care to think, not to mention you can't snap your neck playing Esports
