Right now the Ps4 is winning. But maybe the xbox one will come back. But I think PS4 for it is more simpler and more effective than the xbox. Also wouldn't this be in general gaming section?
With Xbox One if you purchase a game you can share it with up to 10 "family" members, you could just say anyone is a family member and share it with them.
The main reasons to get an Xbox One are the following:
1) The games will be cheaper; like steam if games are digital based then you won't need to pay for disc licensing fees and for the disk itself. We're looking at game costs around $5-50
2) Games will always run better on Xbox consoles, since most current games are developed using Xbox 360 or PC and are ported over to PS consoles, because that's what has been established.
3) Entertainment based; you can connect your TV cable to your Xbox One and instantly get TV on your console, you can also access many streaming sites like netflix.
4) Everything is in the cloud; if you download a game at home you will be able to play that game at any of your friends houses.
5) The controller is much more ergonomic, trust me, you won't get cramped hands like you do on PS controllers.
6) Better exclusives *over PS: Halo, Minecraft, ETC.
7) Developers can assume that everyone has kinect and an online connection, that's right, games that can evolve and change even while you are away.

They can't just be random people. They need to have LINKED family accounts. Share it with 10 people? You're stuck with those 10 people being the only 10 you can share with. Also that bit about connecting your TV to the xbox one? You still need the cable box. And the kinect requires a bunch of room. A HUGE AMOUNT OF THE PEOPLE WHO BUY GAME SYSTEMS ARE IN COLLEGE. A.K.A. they're stuck in tiny dorms withou troom for a kinect. Also Minecraft is also on PC and Halo is just a relatively generic FPS. Playstation has cool exclusives such as LittleBigPlanet. And oh yeah. The big about downloaded games? Their max hard drive size is 500 gigabytes. You have to put ALL your games on it. A.K.A. YOU USE UP ALL YOUR HARD DRIVE. Oh... and if you live in any of africa or a huge chunk of asia? Sorry. Xbone doesn't work there.

Kinetic comes standard.
Bethesda tends to Favor Xbox for their games (See Skyrim DLC's and Fallout Series)
Bill gates is the founder of Microsoft.
The controller is nice.
I don't live in a third world country, so I always have Internet connection...
Currently The XBOX One and PS4 Are both more powerful then the common Gaming PC of the same price range
The PS4 is slanted, which makes it shady/shifty/sketchy. The XBOX one is a lovely Square with bevels. Like my Iphone.
The Xbox one has more shiny parts.
I'm not a fan of sony Electronics, I prefer Acer and Sharp.
Sony hurt MY feelings.
Crash bandicoot is now on the Wii
I can continue to list a bunch of reasons, that don't really effect my reasons for wanting the Xbox one. But I think I'll stop there.
All that matters is, You should form your own opinion about which console to get. Don't just read fifteen thousand opinionated blog articles about the systems, get the facts from Microsoft and Sony, decide what you want to do. I'd suggest waiting a month or so, until the initial release fog wears off, and people will start to see, "Oh look, our anger/bias was completely unfounded, Oops."
I just don't like the idea of the Kinect always pointed at me. The system is always on, watching you. Not barely enough to respond to your voice, it's constantly monitoring anyone around the system. Unplugging the Kinect is not an option, neither is putting an object in front of the Kinect. It will say it needs to see your face.
.. Its not a camera in the sense that it records images, it records a series of dots projected from the device, that then track the movement through the visual field of dots. Your Bank ATM watches you more then the Kinect does.
And I don't know about you, but the FBI wouldn't waste their time and resources to watch thousands of Americans wave their hands and issue verbal commands to a TV.
I'm actually mad that the PS4 I mean they are copying Xbox membership. I mean I know that it is 100$ cheap. But It can add up. If you ask me Sony needs to take away PlayStation plus. But I suggest getting a computer to play games.

You can still play online without PS+. You only need it to play USED games online.
Xb1: Halo, Minecraft. Used games restriction, 10 dollars for online. Always online.
Ps4: No restriction on used games, 5 dollars for online. Not always online. $100 cheaper.
So hard to choose!
If you for some reason dont want to do PC gaming that is.

Yep. And the PC has better exclusives than XB1 anyway.

Also Microsoft is looking into offline play, source here: http://stickskills.c...ne-on-xbox-one/

Or flip a coin.
(I' got heads for Xbox, yay me!)

p.s. This is meant to be mostly a satire. meh

You should finish reading 1984.
Crash bandicoot was a game I played on the PS1, I was using it as an emotional tether.
But again, most of that post was a joke.
To be honest, I just want to play The division and Watch dogs. I'd love the ability to play with both Xbox and PS4 Users~ but that will never happen.
That will never happen because of Microsoft. There have already been games where PS4 and PC players can play together.
