When I got my pokemon emerald, I was so excited. I put it my Nintendo and started playing. I remember my first choice I made in the game, picking mudkip as my starter pokemon. I never liked water pokemon, but people said he was really good. When I found the quick claw (item that lets your pokemon move first) I instantly thought of my swampert. With this item, it counters out his slowness. Swampert can one/two shot most level 40 - 50 pokemons. He is a Ground/Water type which counters out Electricity which is super effective. His problem was grass types, which in the 3rd gen, there were plenty. Swampert can learn ice beam with the help of a TM which was a great counter for grass, but most grass pokemons can still one/two shot him. With the quick claw equipped he can one shot most level 50 - 60 grass types. He is basically a tank in a pokemon form. In the 4th and 5th gen, not many pokemon are decent, although I only played half of gen 4 and 5. Swampert may be one of the best, maybe the best pokemon in the game. Tell me if you have any other ideas or arguments.
No, it's not even close to being anywhere near to being up for consideration to be the best Pokemon.

I know, I like Mudkipz too much. And yes, OT, Swampert can easily be considered one of the most powerful pokemon ever.

The most O.P Pokemon imo is definitely Gen 1 Mewtwo
