I'm not really a kid, I'm 14, but I wanted to go to PAX (prime that is), since it's in the area, I just don't wanna pay 60 bucks and be to shy to do anything because it's crowded with adults. I might bring a friend, but still... would I feel out of place?
Why so shy with adults? Adults at conventions usualy have more interesting things to say than the kids.
Im sure the younger people attending will be normal. It really depends on how you define weird.
I'm not saying adults are wierd, and I totally agree they would be more interesting than kids. And I'm not saying that the kids are wierd as in donky, I mean is the attendance of kids wierd. But thanks, that actually helped.
Minecon there will be kids there. Pax there will be kids there but not as many, just act like an adult and others will treat you like an adult. No one will have a problem with you being there and you will fit right into the crowd.
I've been going to conventions since I was about your age; nobody really minds, but there will always be a few panels that will be 16+, 18+, or 21+ (depending on the event), so be sure to check your schedule and make note of the age restriction! I would recommend bringing a friend, though. I always went with my best friend when I was a kid, because most of the really social events are either at local bars (21+) or are basically an excuse to find a girlfriend (18+). Everything else is just panels with 20 to 60 people (or, if Wil Wheaton or someone "famous" is there, 200+ people), a microphone, and a friendly atmosphere. Nobody minds a kid as long as they love the games as much as the rest of us.
