I guess Amnesia. I don't know my scary games very well though.
Dead Space seems like a lot of jump scares and you can also kill the aliens so it doesn't really seem as scary.

I'm back from my eternal slumber of 2 or 3 months. A long-ass time.
Oh boy, visual basic. I can barely contain my excitement.Not.
Never played Amnesia, but I have seen videos of people playing it.

Definitely Amnesia. There were several moments where I had to pause the game and just take a moment's break to collect myself as I fled from a terrifying monster. It was only halfway into the game did I finally become adjusted to it, and by the end I was running around without any issue or worry from the monsters. Still, I give props to it for even scaring me in the first place; It's a rather difficult thing for any media to do to me in these days.
im kinda ashamed of this doom 3 i would play the game for a whole day... but only to repeat intro to punch burgers off table and play arcade game in dining room.... and then when monsters come and im in elevator im to scared to get out... but that was along time a go im a big boy now
Fallout New Vegas: Dead Money. Something about that dlc just freaks me the hell out, what with the atmosphere. Amnesia didn't actually scare me, probably because I went into it with everyone I know saying it was scary as all hell. But I had no such warning with Dead Money.
I played a dinosaur survival game back on the ps1. I was around 10 at the time, I don't remember the name of the game. It was only a demo but something about that game scared the living hell out of me. It was a dark Jurassic park style game. I played it a few years ago and it wasn't near as scary as I remember though.
Definitely dead space for me. I hadn't played a game with such a dark atmosphere before. It was a great game though.

Especially abandoned mineshafts. You KNOW that there is a creeper in there. Waiting.
PewDiePie? :3
Also, the scariest game I played had to be Minecraft in late alpha/early beta. Made my home in a chunk error and never took it off peaceful.
Scariest game I've ever played? Probably Singularity... and that wasn't even scary.
I don't play scary games very often.
You don't actually know that there is a creeper there though :/

You have to play it to truly be scared.
These two games are way scarier than Minecraft, maybe even more than Amnesia. I HUGELY recommend them. they are free to download, too!
