Hey guys! I just wanted to show you guys all a project I'm working on. It's called text box, because it's made of pure ASCII characters and everything's made of boxes. It's a fantasy-action-arcade game, or well It's going to be. It's still in heavy development, but I wanted to get some thoughts and opinions on it. If you have any ideas for game mechanics, improvements, new monsters, blocks, etc. Thanks!

Do you need any help with anything? I'd like to help. I can help code, or anything you need help with, really.
EDIT: I just played it, really cool. Did you just redraw the screen everytime the character moved? If you did, its still really fast and smooth for redrawing.

Thanks! and I just set the console cursor (the thing that looks like this _ ) to the top-left and just rendered everything over the previous render.
Edit: If you like to help, coming up with ideas for monsters or anything that you would like to see would be awesome. As for coding I wanted to code this solo. But getting a small team together of creative people for ideas would be cool.
Edit2: I just added looping, so if your at the edge of the map you teleport to the other side if the block is not solid. Time to add physics!

But, how do you make some ASCII arts show up in the console? (like smiley face)
When I try, the text/code editor/compiler can't view it... Also, will you be releasing some source code? Really curious, just for knowledge. I won't use.
I'm asking because when I try you can't really make a smiley face with cout << - or anything.. and you can't load things like ASCII in a console either?

Edge of the World: What happens when you access memory outside of the array
Sort of, but My game will have different mechanics making it not really about building but combat and weapons/armour.

Edit: Try downloading Pre 0.1.b, I think I fixed it.
