This should turn out well. I've wanted a futuristic Call of Duty for a while now. I don't think they needed to have the link between the first one and this one. The title is "Black Ops", not "Alex Mason" or "Frank Woods". The whole idea behind it is the black operations, getting in and out without being seen. Anyways, there will hopefully be a lot of architecture like we see in the background when the hovercraft is landing in the beginning. It's hard for me to find inspiration for Minecraft, but I REALLY want to build when I see things like that.
They ran out of ideas a long time ago. That's why this is Black Ops 2 and there's already been a MW3. They are just re-hashing the same **** year after year because they know the ADHD morons will keep buying it. This will just be yet another uninvolved whack-a-mole contest with explosions thrown in every couple of minutes so the idiots don't lose interest.
You are truly the epitome of human patience and intelligence, unlike those complete morons who enjoy playing a game you don't enjoy. Surely, judging a game solely by its reveal trailer makes complete and total sense. It's not something a Call of Duty moron would do!
But do you even have the patience to do any research about Black Ops 2? Did you even watch the trailer for it? If the info that has been released thus far is true, this is by and large the biggest change to the series ever.
Branching storylines in the campaign, and missions that can be tackled in different orders. Failing a mission will still let the campaign continue, and will have an effect on the overarching war.
Like Heavy Rain, your successes and failures will determine who lives or dies, and again, the story will continue on with or without these characters
Many more vehicular segments in jets, drones, etc. even horses. There is apparently a dogfighting segment in between New York skyscrapers where, unlike many Call of Duty's before, you have full control of the jet.
Campaign includes "strike force" missions, which are (from what I understand) MW3 Survival-esque missions in open levels that involve capturing and holding points.
These Strike Force missions also include an RTS element where you can view the map from a bird's eye view, and take control of units and move them how you like.
The zombie survival mode is likely going to be expanded to allow for at least double the teams (8 people) and double the zombies.

Somebody who understands this is not another CoD. I really am excited for this game. I had really given up on CoD recently but at least I have SOME hope.
It's great that Treyarch took the initiative to refurbish the franchise. But I have to see more trailers and gameplay before I'm certain.
My thoughts exactly. Infinity Ward has, up until now, been the dev doing all the new things and ideas. But then they fell apart and, well, MW3 happened.
If Treyarch pulls this off I will have great respect for them.
