To be honest, I don't think I will be buying it. It's textureless-polygon-based, something I will probably never get used to. Notch also mentioned the possibility of monthly fees. I understand why he would charge for online play, but I have better ways to spend my money. However, the concept of being able to program a virtual 16 bit computer sounds pretty cool.
I love the concept, but I'm not sure Notch can pull it off well. The monthly fee is also worrying.

Well, as usual, I'm going to have to watch some let's plays and watch the development before making my desicion. I'm assuming that many, many people who are famous for their Minecraft Episodes will pick this up to see if it has Merrit (And who knows, maybe TotalBiscuit will put an video of his first impression of this on his channel).
And just to notify everyone, this is pre-alpha, where he is still making descisions and where we know only minimal stuff about the game and what not, how about we all wait to learn more before speaking about it.
Oh...One last thing, Any bet's on how many digital copies this game will sell first day of release?
