Im a kid, im only 11. I do agree with you about how some kids just won't. Shut. Up. but the thing is, older people (16, 17, etc.) almost always sterotype me. I try to act normal, not rage (although it does sometimes happen, when it does, I usually jsut shut up) but everytime I try to get in a lobby where everyone can talk to each other, everyone mutes me almost straight away, and it pisses me off. Just because a lot of us are douches, it doesn't mean all of us are.
Im in the same boat. I'm a hardcore LoL player at 12 years old. I play in high 1500 elo matches. The thing that bothers me is that one someone is a complete idiot, people usually call him a 12 year old. I'm much more mature then most people my age, and I usually use that opportunity to say that hey, i'm 12, and I don't act like many people my age. Being stereotyped suck, and I try to change peoples thinking whenever I can. I try to tell them that not all kids are immature like people think us to be.
Edit:Some friends of mine, kids all the same, act nothing like me. They are like the people described in the topic post. It annoys me just like it annoys many of you, and sometimes I have a hard time dealing with them.
Ok I found a comment on youtube that TOTALY relates to this topic:
This is sick. While it's questionable that a little girl should be playing a game like this at her age, SHE'S A LITTLE GIRL.
Of course she's going to act immature. She IS immature. She's freaking seven years old. And you had to mock her instead of not talking to her and letting her enjoy the game.
Do you honestly think picking on a little kid that's several years younger than you is comedy gold? It shows how mature YOU are.
mw3 is full of kids i mean i see so many kids by R18 from the shop everyday they just get there dad or mum to buy it.
when i play mw3 all i hear is whining little kids saying blah blah blah i got a predator missle aawwwhh you steal my kill scream scream scream . or they sing justin bieber songs im sick of muting people at the start of every game i dont get to think about what class to pick lol
Hey. Thought I might put my 2 cents in, because why not? I'm 15 (16 in October but whatevs) and I play games for fun. I suck at every game ever. But I'm cool with it, as long as its fun. If these kids don't have fun and complain about losing in MW3 of BF3 or whatever all the time, they should learn to play the Campaign.
There are equally as many people older than thirteen who can be just as annoying, whether it be cussing every three seconds or yelling into their microphones believing that they are "hardcore".
But honestly, that's what the mute button is for. Mute them as they come. Underage or not, gullible kids are what fuel the videogame industry. Deal with it and don't stereotype by age. Everyone was thirteen at some point, plus or minus a scale in maturity. I don't think you limited yourself to "campaign mode" (as one person noted) or repetitive single-player shenanigans just because of your age. If you're that annoyed, go play sandbox games/ single-player games like Minecraft or Skyrim. Besides, I'm more annoyed with the repetitiveness and petty additions that are making the MW series degrade than these so-called "squealers".
I'm thirteen. I just don't use mics. Some kid was crying on the ventrillo server for the gaming clan I'm in because he was banned from the MC server for an hour. I pm'd him 'shut up or I'll ban you longer because you're interrupting my tf2 match'.
Usually it does not matter what age. For example, on the reviews list for apps, kids and adults alike ask immediately for an update if their game crashes one time (I see this everywhere, so annoying). Adults make fun of younger ages for playing, even though I do not like younger ages playing, especially under ten, you can just mute them. What's worse than a little kid complaining in his mic is when someone has a crappy mic: with static and crackling.

And for clarification, I'm seventeen.
An arbitrary rating on the outside of a game box doesn't give certain people more "rights" to play a game. It simply gives them the right to buy it.
this
No... Just don't use mics. Then you are okay.
