I just got a new graphics card, the GTX 460. Supposedly it can run BF3 on high settings and stuff, but I don't have BF3 so I don't know, but that's a comparison you can make when telling me what games I should play. Keep in mind, I do commentaries so I want to be able to keep it a good distance above 30 FPS, that way it will be at least 30 FPS when recording.
Right now I have:
SW:TOR
L4D2
and a bunch of other games that are way less graphic-intensive.
But I can't decide which game/games I should get, so please give me some suggestions.
I don't want Skyrim because I already have it for xbox, by the way.
Team Fortress 2 if you don't already have it, easy to run and free. I don't how much recording takes off your FPS but playing older games like Battlefield Bad Company 2, MW2, etc. might be good to do something different since like every commentator is doing BF3 and MW3. Maybe try some lesser known games people haven't heard of? Mount and Blade Warband is good, and you can probably run that at 60 fps recording.
Either in genre, performance, story, freedom, cheap, new, indie, AAA, etc?
To be quite honest, I have no particular preference, except I don't want indie (because I have loads too many of those already) and preferrably cheap, but not necessary. Other than that, I'm just looking for something to help put this graphics card to use, haha.
Here's a list of some of my favorite (new-ish) games to give you an idea of what I like:
Red Dead Redemption
L.A. Noire
BFBC2
Halo Reach
Skyrim
WoW
Borderlands
I also enjoy games like Simcity and Age of Empires though, really any genre is good with me (except I'm not too big into strategy type ones, except age of empires, haha)
Nah lol, I just think you should get Skyrim twice. This time, don't pay for it. Or pay for it, idgaf. Just get Skyrim for PC much better graphics.
Haha, I actually considered it but I'm not sure if this graphics card can run it, cause yes, it's supposedly really really good, but the rest of my computer isn't as high end.

Yeah I was gonna re-install TF2, never got to it though, and BFBC2 I think I will for sure get. I tried the mount and blade warband demo, and I wasn't a huge fan, but I may try it again.
And recording usually doesn't take off too much, maybe 20-30 FPS tops.

Warbands' multiplayer is fun, but it's pretty hard to get use too. Singleplayer isn't too bad either. I've heard Payday is pretty fun too. If you have the money I would just go crazy right now and buy anything that mildly interests you on steam since everything is sale pretty cheap.
EDIT: Just looking at whats on sale on steam right now, Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are both great games and on sale. Dead Island has pretty good PC graphics and is on sale. And there is Terraria but that wouldn't test anyone's graphics card too much.
Two games I can recommend by playing them that will utilize a 460 is Metro 2033 and Witcher 2 both fun although I suggest to play Witcher 1 so you can get familiar with the series/characters but its not required.
For a border lands similar art style Bulletstorm is decent and isn't that bad in the graphics department but I only tried the demo.
And as already suggested Mount and blade warband is also a great game.

You're either trolling, or you just read like a champ.

I considered that, I may get it, considering it's like.. what.. 5-10 dollars on steam right now? :biggrin.gif:

I never played any of the HL series, maybe now is the time to, haha. And I already have portal 2 for xbox, so I doubt I'd get it again.
Yes. Fallout 3.

Yeah I'm probably just gonna buy everything, I have a 100 dollar visa right now... haha
