As the title says, I'm looking for suggestions. It could be any genre except RTS, and I don't care if it's official or a private server. Also it'd be preferable if it wasn't PK, but that's optional long as the people are friendly and don't camp (hurr carebear).

By PK do you mean PVP? I'm not sure if there is such a thing as an MMO without PVP. However, I'd recommend getting SWTOR when it's released. I was in a couple beta weekends and it was a lot of fun.

RealmPT is a private server of PristonTale which is very hard to level and gather items.. Where as realmpt is so much easier. Realmpt also has PK. But it's only found in an island. Otherwise you're safe.
If you play dragonnest I would recommend continuing the storyline because there are about 3 towns to go to and theyre all pretty sweet!

I've enjoyed City of Heroes, Guild Wars, Dungeons and Dragons Online, Champions Online, and World of Warcraft. I wasn't impressed by Runes of Magic or Runescape when I tried them.
Wakfu is good, I think its better if you have people to play with though seeing as it resembles (best put) a game like Final Fantasy Tactics. (Still wish they would make an offical mmo for that >.>)
Phantasy Star Online is good, not the new one but the older one from about 2002. Phantasy Star Online Link It takes some getting used to but its the only one so far to keep my interest longer than a few minutes.
If your into flying games, Air Rivals is a good choice also.
No RTS games eh.... I would recommend RIFT, there are private servers. Rift Link
Awesome quests. Graphics are quit good, also. (Not saying that graphics are important) Also much interaction. (Kind of...)
