Try both controllers and see whatever you like the most. Also pick the system where most of your friends are playing! :wink.gif:
Honestly no truer words have been spoken about this argument. Both are great consoles, both have there pros and cons.
Things to remember:
-PSN is FIXED so don't worry
-NEW Xbox's will not get the Red Ring of Death as easily as earlier models
So again, choose the one that fits your budget, (Because PS3's tend to cost more, and Xbox live you have to pay for)
And the one that most of your friends have! (Because it can get damn lonely without a buddy) :biggrin.gif:
It has been proven (THROUGH SCIENCE!!) that the XBOX 360, or at least the original model, gets the RRoD more often than the PS3 gets the YLOD. This information is based on surveys, not fanboyism, thank you very much :smile.gif:
I have no clue what your on about. I didn't say the xbox ALWAYS break down sure it gets it more times then the PlayStation 3... not sure if your trying to prove me wrong or something...
That's a bit of a ludicrous claim. You keep on saying "Fanboys say this, but they're wrong", while you make up claims, without evidence, to support your position. Remember, console wars = srs biscuits.
You clearly don't own an Xbox because they DO come with headsets. I am making evidence, how about you get off your PlayStation 3 and what I said.
Final Fantasy isn't even exclusive to the PS3. There are just as many, if not more, JRPG exclusives for the XBOX 360. No, I'm not a "fanboy" (because I know that will be your NUMBER ONE retaliation argument), but you sure seem like one. I won't bother to tell you just how many times you contradicted yourself in your little rant here, but suffice to say, it's a lot.
I'm not sure about how you read my post but ... no where in my post suggests that this is a rant, this is my own personal opinion....
You clearly don't own an Xbox because they DO come with headsets. I am making evidence, how about you get off your PlayStation 3 and what I said.
No, I don't own an XBOX, but I am perfectly aware that headsets are bundled with the system, thank you. Maybe I should have made myself more clear, I was targeting this statement: "XBOX Live has less children". Do you have any evidence to back this up? Why does this even really matter, anyways? :tongue.gif:
I'm not sure about how you read my post but ... no where in my post suggests that this is a rant, this is my own personal opinion....
Then I apologize for using the wrong word. I'm glad you thoroughly read my post for my misuse of words.
Just get the Xbox 360. Don't listen to the fanboys saying that they always break down because I can bet you that they have never had one in the first place. If you are going to get an Xbox 360, make sure you buy the new model because it has improved heat adjustment so it wont over heat as much as the older model. I'm not sayin that it wont break down because no console will ever not break at some point even the Playstation 3 get's it's own YLOD.
My friend has gone through 6 ****ing Xbox 360s already since launch, while my launch PS3 is still running cool as **** while gaming 2+ hours per day.
As for the online community, Xbox Live has less children on it because you need to pay to gain online access and most parents wont buy it. The reason why the Playstation fanboys complain about it having screaming children because Xbox Live 12 month comes with a free headphone set (Also the console usually comes with a free one). If your still not convinced by there being annoying people on Xbox live, just mute them it's not hard.
PSN has it's far share of children, but at least the PS3 doesn't include ****ing headsets where as on the Xbox, every damn game on Black Ops or MW2, there is always some 10 year old screaming his head off calling us faggots and assholes. :sleep.gif:
I don't believe Sony could ever recover from losing all the personal information and the fact that their online is free and you don't pay for it. (You get what you pay for, oh wait you don't so it ****s up.) So I'd rather pay for good quality then rely on something that's free.
...did you really just say that? The gap is closing so fast between PSN and Xbox Live, it's astounding. The only thing that Xbox Live has over PSN is cross game chat and profiles. So essentially, you pay 60 dollars per year to use MINOR features.
As for exlusives go, the only exlusives I see go the the playstation is the crap Japanese games with horrible anime and **** like that (Final fantasy) so if your a normal western gamer then you wont care about the Japanese games they bring to the Playstation. (Sony = Asian = Asian Games) note that I don't have anything against Asians. If you think I do then your an idiot.
...
Uncharted 1/2/3
Little Big Planet
Infamous 1/2
Gran Turismo 5
Heavy Rain
Metal Gear Solid 4
If you think those games are anime, then you are either hallucinating, or ignorant as ****.
Besides, how are western games better than "asian" games (MGS4 > Call of Duty)? MGS4 is better than 99% percent of the games out there.
If you really insist on getting a console, I would suggest waiting until the next gen is released. There's no reason to buy something when something newer and better will probably come out within the next 1-2 years. Since Nintendo is making a new console, Microsoft and Sony will pretty much have to if they want to compete.
Really, though, you should just get a good gaming PC. I know it's been said a lot already, but that's because it's a viable option. Instead of waiting 4 years for an upgrade, you can upgrade a PC as often as you can afford.
Those saying xbox's break easy well i true have had one break down but i replaced mine and its been going 3 years. It flashed the red ring once i just turned it off and left it overnight. It was fine in the morning. Consumer grade hardware (that includes consoles) is only intended to last 2 years anyway so if you get more out of it your good.
Regardless, yours has still broken down. Three of my friend who have purchased 360s that either had to be replaced or repaired, and are already at their Second or their Fifth replacement. Compared to that, three of my PS3-owning friends have had their PS3 and still going since day 1. I can't really protest the supremacy of a certain console, but that sure says a lot hardware-wise.
In terms of console exclusives I will admit that i love halo and gears of war. Also forza is a brilliant game although i personally dont see any difference between gran turismo 5 and forza 3. Little info on forza 4 and gran turismo on the other hand makes forza look better until next gran turismo. Uncharted is meant to be good on ps3 but ive never played.Heavy rain and infamous ive heard of and thats about it. Little big planet looks alright but i wouldnt buy it. Only PS3 exclusive i miss from my PS2 is ratchet and clank.
Nothing more than blabber of a fan boy, and I know, for I have been guilty before, and now, I'll be guilty again. Gran Turismo is great and a lot more info on Turismo compared to the offer of Forza makes GT a better title. Uncharted is only meant to be good for a PS3, cause otherwise, such a masterpiece looks crappy on another console I know about. I've not only heard about Heavy Rain and inFamous, but lived it. I would buy Littlebigplanet, and I'm definitely sure that 3,000,000 levels worth of innovative user created levels would that it looks more than alright. Ratchet and Clank is still going on my friends, perhaps looking at one side does hurt an argument.
So, I'll take away such claims for a bit, and say this: Exclusives can make or break a title. I am quite ashamed, because other than Gears of War and Halo (which regardless, are titles I find very deserving for its console), there are a lot more exclusive titles that makes the XBOX worth your money. And if Good Games = Shooters, than by God, has mainstream made FPS a Pop song.
Theres a mix of xbox's and PS3's amongst my mates. 2 of those that have both (3 people altogether) prefer the xbox over the ps3. If you go with what your friends have you get to play with them both in person or on live/PSN.
I can't argue with this one. A majority of my close friends own a 360...and there's only about 4 of them. After that, there are about 20 friends of mine who own a PS3.
I dont like the PS3 controllers, i find they dont fit my hand whereas a wired xbox controller fits perfectly. Wireless the battery pack is where i want to put my fingers. THis isnt really a valid argument though as there is a company that makes ps3 controllers shaped as xbox controllers and vice versa. One of my mates has the ps3 shaped as xbox controller and it works fine
Well perhaps it depends on the person, but I have no difficulty with any controller whatsoever. I'll come back to you with this one.
The PS3 controllers have built in rechargeable batteries. All you have to do is, plug the included cable into the controller and the the USB port on the console to recharge or it can be played while wired that way.
360 controller you either need to put in batteries constantly for the included controllers or you need to purchase a separate set of rechargeable batteries and the charger to go along with it as a replacement for the batteries that come stock with the controllers.
Controllers are a big reason I don't like the 360. I don't have small hands either. I am 6'4" and my hands are large. I just don't feel at all comfortable with the 360 controller. Also, every controller I bought for it, 3 of them, along with every single controller of anybody I have ever talked to, the left stick develops a drift in it.
That drift made Dragon Age completely unplayable for me since I could never do anything that required the character to stand still to activate.
All it takes is a tap to correct it, but that is kind of pointless when tapping it cancels out anything that needed to be done.
I have never had a single issue with my PS3 controllers.
Trying to get games written for windows to work on a Linux machine is like trying to put a diaper on an incontinent buffalo. Sure, you might get it all done, but you'll certainly be left with a huge mess, and it's very time consuming.
PS3 seems to have better games, especially if you're into the more exploratory, creative stuff like Little Big Planet. Also, the games tend to focus a lot on the story line and single-player modes, like FF13 and Uncharted. Graphics are generally slightly better, thanks to the Blu-Ray discs. And while PSN is smaller than XBLA, it's also a bit more open, so PS3 games have lots of user-made content, updates, patches, and free content, while Xbox games will usually have sub-par mapping tools and more expensive/less frequent updates (even for the same game on 2 consoles).
Xbox on the other hand, is all about the online play. I'll bet you have a lot more friends who use Xbox Live than PSN. Also, it has better downloadable stuff, tons of great XBLA games. But, the games for it tend to focus much more on the multiplayer aspects than the single-player. Xbox games often have shorter and less interesting storylines, that either take 2 days to beat or are only fun if you're playing co-op. However, they do tend to have more fun and lasting multiplayer.

The fact that Xbox360 has more games than PS3 is true. As true as the fact that in general, games that run on PS3s in average are much better than the games that run on Xbox360 in average. Xbox360 has more games, but most of these games are bad.
Honestly no truer words have been spoken about this argument. Both are great consoles, both have there pros and cons.

Man, I've got to stop starting these arguments.
I rest my case.

For the record, and just for clarification, Gran Turismo is a Japanese produced product (See Polyphony Digital) :tongue.gif:

XBOX 360:
GOOD-
better games
cool graphics
BAD-
pay for online
PS3
Good-
amazing graphics
Free online
Bad-
needs better games
I'm still on XBOX so, this decision is up to your opinion (Eh hem, XBOX!!!!!!!!!)
I'm sorry, I usually don't. But when somebody says something which is so blatantly wrong, I can't help myself.
Vladimire, I hope you and me can still be best friends :sad.gif:
They're the same. Stop spreading lies.
Um...what does the PS3 use?
Yup, that's how we console gamers roll, we defend our console of choice to the last post until a mod locks it. ;D
I don't like to flame...I "educate." :wink.gif:
Yes.
Education is IMPORTANT!
Oh yeah, I personally like 360 because it has awesome games I like.
But after seeing E3, the only good games we have coming are Halo Anniversery, Halo 4 and Gears 3. Take a PS3, at least you'll have more games.
Seriously, Microsoft E3 was terrible.
Kinect really needs to broaden its appeal, it will take much more than a star wars game to do that.
