Take the time to post if you like the Mother/EarthBound games.
It's a game series that went through the NES, SNES, and GameBoy. One game was made to combine the NES and SNES games, and called it Mother 1 + 2.
Mother 3 isn't available in America, neither is Mother 1, but we still remember classic games that are emotional yet comical...

There is an English fan translation of Mother 3, which can be found here.
NOTE; It is NOT a pirate, the game is altered to which it is not under copyright, and even nintendo workers have supported the idea.

How do you make a banner? I've gone to these sites to make one, but they don't provide that I can upload and image for a banner, they have their website's name at the top, or have to make me pay.

I have a MOTHER userbar for a signature. I made it myself. :3

To the ignorant eye, what is Mother? Can you perhaps explain this more thoroughly?

You make a banner in an image editing program and then you upload it to an image uploading service, such as imageshack. Then, you put it in your signature.

Stuff like mybannermaker is junk.

Mother is a video game series. The first two games are based around paranormal or alien enemies, while Mother 3 happens to go along with an old antagonist.

In Mother 1, Giegue(who is an alien) seeks out revenge on the earth because his human parents stole the secret of PSI, left to earth, and abandoned Giegue. Now he wants to stop them from learning PSI and uses a Starman army to do so.

In Mother 2, Giygas(also an alien) starts controlling animals and people do evil things. Later on in the game you learn Giygas is actually Giegue who became demented over his rage and confused emotions to where his body was destroyed and he was only left with this:

I found a different way. The thing with the banner was, I wanted other people to access it. So I guess I could put something between the [img.] brackets so it doesn't actually GO to the image.

Which I might add for a pretty creepy boss battle for a kid to be playing xD

Probably creepier when you have an emulator covering your entire screen, headphones, no lights, and full blasting music on. Probably **** my pants then.



Also, here's something just to talk about.

What is your favorite character and why?

As for me I say Pokey/Porky. I just think he's a cool villain and I got attached to it after a while of playing. Reminds me of myself. He's a fat ******* but he gets what he wants.

Never heard of the game, unfortunately. Sounds pretty cool. I remember the SNES days :smile.gif:

I liked Mother a lot, and Mother 3 was phenomenal as well. I thought Earthbound was a bit weak on story, though. It worked well in theory, but the game was highly imperfect (I'm not saying it as bad, just not as good as the other two). But yeah, Mother 1 and Mother 3 are probably two of my favorite games.

Nintendo needs to make a Mother 1 + 2 + 3.

I think EarthBound was the best in my opinion. I like Giygas's character, and the enemies were creative and fun to battle against.

I'm into alien and paranormal stuff, so when Mother 3 came to me, I lost interest.
I beat the game and enjoyed most of it, but it wasn't as fulfilling as EarthBound.

One thing I hated about Mother 3 is that you lost characters TWICE.

Is there a translation for Mother 1 and 2 (100% translated)? I looked everywhere and I can't find anything.

I want to play the games completely uncensored like what they originally intended to be.

In Earthbound, the censorship is quite obvious and I feel like I don’t have a complete package.
