What i hate is the story. Not that it's really bad, but it's the exact same one since Red & blue :

COME ON ! Ok you got a decent story, but you've been repeating it ever since i was 8-or-so years old !
I will admit that I can pretty much get through the first 20 minutes of any Pokemon game with my eyes closed at this point, but once I stop getting lectured on the horribly complicated task of choosing moves in a Pokemon battle, I always manage to find some fun in the game.
The thing I hate the most, is that each game always adds at least one new feature that I cannot for the life of me see the point of. Perfect examples: the "Pokemon Contests" that were basically dog shows as if they were being judged by child-molesting Satans, the "underground tunnels" thing from Diamond/Pearl that lets you play hide-and-seek without the dangers of losing one's obesity, and now, Black/White adds "Surveys", because all my life I have always wanted to collect data on what subjects my fellow Poketards prefer doing in school.

I always hated the EV system that Pokemon uses for stats. In order to properly use Effort Values you have to either mark down your 255th defeat of Pokemon X so you can move onto Pokemon Y and raise that stat or use something such as Action Replay to view your Pokemon's EVs.
I hate the fact that they've never made a good action-rpg with pokemon.
The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series is as close as you'll get to one afaik.(Don't know what's on the Wii)

Ahmahgod, ye This. Reshiram and Zekrom could probably wipe out all of the past Legendaries..
And I love my Pokemon, battling against the fearsom Kyurem, and allowing me to catch it. (Lv 75, holy crap.)
And I learned the Resh/Zekr beating the other legendaries thing just by experience. My level 50 pokemon have been able to take out ALL of the past generation pokemon that are level 65-70 in the unlocked routes. Yes, level 50 against 65, who do you think should win?
Pokemon B/W Pokemon Vs Pokemon B/W Pokemon = Ah crap.
Pokemon B/W Pokemon Vs Pokemon Past = Win.
Only thing that really has irked me so far... the box limit (really? only 8 boxes to store pokemon in?) and the fact that you're limited to FOUR digits in your box name! Oh, and the lack of the PKMN logo that only took up two spaces in a name.
That means naming your boxes PKMN120-150 is not possible (Thanks to the lack of the PK and MN icons and the fact that you can only have 4 numbers in a name). it's really messed up my box organization.
'sides that, I'm loving every bit of it. I typically level 10 levels between gyms, and make sure that all my pokemon are the exact same level (for instance, my team of 6 are all level 30, and I'm preparing to fight Burgh), so the difficulty has been pretty straight forward so far (that method has worked for me for every pokemon game to date, no reason it should stop working now).
What the game needs is an auto-sort. So it can be by type, level, name or number in the 'dex.
I WOULD LOVE IT.

-Band Groudon can wipe the floor with both of them
-Darkrai+Nasty Plot+Ice Beam=destruction of dragon-types
-Heatran walls Reshiram's STAB to no end
-Arceus. 'Nuff said
-Lugia also walls Reshiram
-SubMind Giratina
Obviously, Reshiram's probably more easily counterable, but yeah. They're not really greater than past legends, though by all means usable.
There are some real power increases in Gen 5, though. 145 base Atk for Haxorus and 145 base SpAtk for Chandelure (though they are not necesarilly omnipresent in the competitive world, admittedly) are amazing for non-Ubers.

This is oh, so very true. Pokemon begins to feel very repetitive, but hey, I play for the nostalgia.
Ohmahgod, looking back, hah, I made the new pokemon look like gold. Lol, they're not.
But that doesn't mean the challenges aren't still accepted. >:biggrin.gif:

I never beat the elite 4 in pearl until I got an action replay :sad.gif: RPG designers need to design their games so that there is a good balance of grinding but not just a quick easy campaign.
Why should you be so worried? Feebas are ultra common if you're fishing for them ( Route 1, right?)

And yeah, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon's a great compromise if you're looking for action RPG.

I lurved my Crobat in pearl. Always was in my party and I always used him for fly. Wanna get one and also a purugly.
