I hate nothing about it, other than those annoying Trainers who spot you and then they keep using moves like "Fly" or "Dive" or "Dig" that make the battle drag on... "EXCADRILL, EFFIN' STOP. I HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE."

Holy shaz I hated him. I was so freaking happy when his third Pokemon was a one-hit KO. (Holy crap, I hate you forever, Excadrill.)
Friggin' Bulldoze. :< MY Servine became a Serperior by the time I finished it off. And even then I used like.. 20 Super/Hyper potions.
Only thing that really has irked me so far... the box limit (really? only 8 boxes to store pokemon in?) and the fact that you're limited to FOUR digits in your box name! Oh, and the lack of the PKMN logo that only took up two spaces in a name.
That means naming your boxes PKMN120-150 is not possible (Thanks to the lack of the PK and MN icons and the fact that you can only have 4 numbers in a name). it's really messed up my box organization.
'sides that, I'm loving every bit of it. I typically level 10 levels between gyms, and make sure that all my pokemon are the exact same level (for instance, my team of 6 are all level 30, and I'm preparing to fight Burgh), so the difficulty has been pretty straight forward so far (that method has worked for me for every pokemon game to date, no reason it should stop working now).

Okay, so I'm not the only one trying to do this.. :biggrin.gif:
It feels more "official" when they're all the same level.
And you're never left with a Pokemon who if they fall, you're screwed. Whenever I used to battle my friends, they'd send out some crazy leveled Pokemon that was 20 levels higher than the rest of their team, but once that was gone, you could mop the floor with the rest of their Pokemon.
I've been doing that since red and blue for that very reason. And like you said, it makes the team feel more like a "Team" when they're all trained to the same level.

What i hate is the story. Not that it's really bad, but it's the exact same one since Red & blue :
"You are a boy starting in a small town living with your mother, with a sort-of rival (always one step ahead of you!), you must choose between 3 pokemons of type grass / fire / water after being notified about how dangerous tall grass is, and your rival always take the more advantageous pokemon compared to yours. You are then send on an absolutely irresponsible mission of exploring the world to see all pokemons and record their entry. During your adventures, you meet an absolutely clear to be evil gang who want to take over pokemons to get more power to rule over the world! (insert 'mwahahah' here). You then destroy the hell out of their pitiful organization single-handedly as everyone else are absolute noobs, and finally go devour the elite four for your desert. Credit rolls."
COME ON ! Ok you got a decent story, but you've been repeating it ever since i was 8-or-so years old !
*cry in a corner*

"If you aren't ashamed of what you coded 6 months ago, you aren't progressing as much as you should." - My Website : Altar-Apps,Applications, Libraries, APIs, Code snippets and the Heart of Sin roguelike game!
The fact that they're spoonfeeding you the same game 50 times with one added feature for 50$
Name one sequel that doesn't do that. Frankly it's what the game industry strives on, when people like something, they want more of it, so it'd be dumb to change the structure entirely. If you want to play a different game... play a different game.
Also, I don't know where you're buying your DS games, but it's only 35$.

I didn't deny every sequel does it, it usually does unless it revamps the entire game. But pokemon is the worst about it. Each game adds like 30 new pokemon and that's it. (much less if they're "upgrading" a previous game) I have stopped counting how many times I have caught a squirtle and a charmander. Pokemon is probably the most overplayed game ever, it doesn't suck but you end up playing the same game 40 times in a row but OOH NOW WITH 3D GRAPHICS
on another note, you're posting in a thread called "Things you hate about pokemon". I'm surprised you didn't expect this to come up.
This may be true, but I felt the B/W story was somehow different and better.
Maybe, but i have yet to play B / W, so i reserve my judgement on this. :smile.gif:

The fact that every time I play in public some idiot/troll comes up to me and says "lol pookemanz iz a kidz game tht mak you gay". Oftentimes the people that do that boast about their "Halo/CallofDuty pro-skillz", which makes me laugh at them in my head, but it still annoys me that people think that and have an IQ low enough to try and tell me that.

Really? When I battled him on my japanese version, I mopped him up. (Then again, I had a Samurott and a Lilligant, with Swords Dance and Butterfly Dance respectively...)

What makes me mad the most is the very, very, very long typical introduction when you start a new game, bleh. Oh, and the name limit.
