At the same time, I hate the SP, because the GameBoy original/color cartridges would stick out and I would always accidently bump them with my wrist and the game would freeze.
"Guys! Don't get an epic 3DS with 3D video recording, music, 3D games, movies, and more because I dont like Nintendo and I suck, and my Xbox got RROD after I spilt milk all over it!"
^That (is probably what he wanted to say)^
Anyways, I am getting the 3DS on May 29. A month and 2 days late.

Remember: You're a beta tester. You're supposed to test, not expect the best.
Except it's the only one not able to play games of a previous generation
I'll never understand this complaint. Do you automatically pitch your previous systems in the trash when a new one comes out? Nintendo could probably pump out their next-gen systems faster if the fanboys would stop demanding they shoehorn in the pointless and unnecessary backwards compatibility.

yeah gameboy is pretty old now, and they will be releasing old titles on the 3ds shop, nintendo only does backward's compatability 1 generation back.

It's more of a question "Why should I get a system, which is newer, when the version of the same system is cheaper, has inbuild screenprotection AND can play more games?" They simply removed features from the Micro, which the GBA and SP both owned.
I owned a Micro for quite a while. It had a back-lit screen which made it clearer and brighter than my SP, and it fit into my pocket better, leaving room for keys, change, and so on without getting in the way. It had its uses - including when I traded it in for credit towards Pokemon SoulSilver.
That being said, I still have my SP, as well as my DS Lite. I rarely use them, since I've pretty much just been glued to WarioWare DIY on my DSi XL lately, but if I really wanted to play older games I totally could. Like I said before, if you don't throw out your old systems, then backwards compatibility is a non-issue (and even if you do, the SP is like, what, $30 at GameStop?)

You guys keep your micros, gameboys and psps, I still have my old muddy rock and I'll just play it's massive library of games like: catch, fetch, pet rocks adventure time, pet rocks Babbyz gravel edition and super sit there rock. There is nothing wrong with getting a newer and presumably shinier system. Personally I plan on picking up a psp cheap when the psp2- okay ngp (yeah right) comes out, as a hack toy. I'll probably grab a 3ds when I manage to get a job and hopefully by then nintendy will have released a smaller one
I think ill stick with my PSP 1000 till NGP comes out... skip over 3ds entirely. 3d is overrated anyways. if i wanted to play any good nintendo games i have my clear gameboy advanced
I found the original Gameboy in my house, with Mario in it.

That's cool, but 3DS is FTW!

Or even better, just not get a mobile gaming platform because they're all garbage (except the Pandora).
