No, I dont' really like 3-d. As most hard-core nerds don't.
Besides, I'm not giving more money to Nintendo for their cheesy little gimmicks. The DSi was the last time. THE LAST TIME, YOU HEAR ME?!
The DSi wasn't a new console BTW. It was just a slight upgrade to the DS.
Anyways, here's a line-up for you:
Metal Gear Solid
Resident Evil
Dead or Alive
Final Fantasy
Mario Kart
Animal Crossing
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Kid Icarus
Paper Mario
Star Fox
Assassin's Creed
Dragon Quest
PilotWings
Professor Layton
If that isn't good enough for you, nothing is.

3DS has me sold with Animal Crossing and Paper Mario.
Had me sold with 3.
Edit: I feel like people won't get the joke. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it, and I really like the 3-d, but the great lineup of games certainly helps.

Yeah, yeah. That sounds cool, I guess. But one thing you are forgetting. THOSE ARE ALL SEQUELS/rehashed remakes. Sorry for the anger, but come on. I would like something original, seriously. I can think of so many better games than those remakes, so don't say nothing is better than those. I'm getting sick of Nintendo's lazy creativity. They just want money, and it hurts my self-ego.
EDIT: Wait a minute. Shouldn't this go in the other games section?

Paper Mario is a sequel to an awesome RPG series and hasn't had a new TRUE installment in a long time.
Kid Icarus is basically a whole new series with the Kid Icarus story. It's nothing like the first two games.
PilotWings? Only thing reused is the flight simulation and one of the areas you fly in. Will probably be a lot different than the first two.
Also, I forgot to mention one game. It's called Steel Diver. It's a whole new IP, if you want to whine about that.

I'm not really whining BTW, it's just disagreement. It seems like whining because you want me to agree with you, but that's okay, everyone does it.
Also, four "original" games? Yeah, they will be completely different games, I'm fine with that, but look at that huge wall of everything else. I just can't stand Nintendo sometimes.
The only reason they make sequels and remakes is because the hardcore nintendo fans demand it.
Although, Paper Mario, Kid Icarus, and LoZ Oot have me sold.
There are a few factors that make this the most exciting console I've heard of in awhile.
- 3D without glasses, it's an interesting concept and curiosity has struck me
- Great line-up of games including classic games remade for extra nostalgic awesomes
- I need a new console, my current selection has gone stale
In that order.
It was the 3D without glasses that grabbed my attention at E3. Infact the only real reason I watched was because I heard about 3DS copyright purchase from Nintendo and was curious. So when I saw it and peoples testimonies saying the 3D was really actual 3D without graphics. I just had to see it for myself.
Then, with the announcement of the line-up, it was no longer a "I have to see this" it became "I have to own this".
I can only hope that home consoles will begin to utilize stereoscopy. For a variety of means, eg Red/Cyan and paralax.

I will admit, you are right. When I heard "3-D without glasses" I actually considered giving 3-D a shot. But then I forgot about it when I saw the game line-up. And actually thought about it, then denied it.
I don't like the idea of another DS, and I don't really like the idea of 3-D. Oh, I hope this is just a fad.

The Nintendo DSi was a portable game console, it wasn't just an add-on/upgrade to the DS-lite. I bought one, so I would know.
Sorry for the anger, but come on. I would like something original, seriously.
Impossible. Originality has gone from the world seeing as everything's been done already. If you want something original, invent time travel and go back to the golden age of gaming.

Funny how half of the games fatcat listed aren't Nintendo's properties.
MGS is Konami, RE is Capcom, Dead or Alive is Tecmo, Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest are Squenix, Assassin's Creed is Ubisoft, and Layton is Level-5.

Yeah... so ****ing what? So was the original goddamn Game Boy. The DSi was an add-on, although it was more of a take-away; getting rid of the ability to play GBA games and shitting up battery life (especially on the XL, or so I heard) while adding in minor things such as DSiWare. Meanwhile, the 3DS adds a whole new gimmick to the DS along with pumping up the graphical power.
Animal Crossing and Paper Mario are the first two games I'm going to get for this. If Majora's Mask is released for this, I'm buying it, too. I'm also going to get Nintendogs + Cats, because I love cats and Nintendogs was fun.
Imagine that, while playing it, moving, with bullets coming at you and things.
Oh, and without the crappy wiggle.
Sold?

Yes. i am a diehard starfox fan.

Funny, that's exactly what the DS is/was.
The DSi had just a little more power than the DS with a few gimmicks.
The 3DS has capabilities that are almost on par with the Xbox 360. It only sucks on polygon count.
