Haven & Hearth is an Isometric-perspective survival game. You're plopped down in some random spot in the wilderness, and are tasked with keeping yourself alive. This can be difficult, especially if you're put far out in the wilderness, or near a group of particularly hostile players.
Player-to-player interactions are completely unrestrained (save for PvP which requires an expensive skill to carry out, and even then specially trained "rangers" can collect evidence from the crime scene and hunt you down). The economy is primarily barter-based, but currency can be created with a coin-press.
You're probably going to die quiiiite a lot. Be it wild animals, food shortages, or hostile players, something will eventually kill you, and death is permanent. You can, however, "reincarnate" a percentage of your dead character's skills to a new one, based on how your change/tradition belief is set (Change allows you to gain XP faster, Tradition lets you keep more of it when you die).
Oh, and don't even touch the water without the aid of a boat. Swimming is evil, and you should never try it.
I'm attempting to establish a MineCraft town in some corner of the wilderness I can't properly identify on any world map currently available, but you can easily make it to my Hearth Fire (my spawn point) from the Player Creation room. Once you talk to everyone, take the contents of the chest, have your name and all set, talk to the fellow in the upper-left corner. He'll ask you for a "Hearth Secret", which is "howdoipootis" (without quotes).
Currently, the "town" is nothing more than a hastily-built lean-to and a house being built, but we've only been working on it for a day with three people.
Current "members" of the town (We can't have formal member until someone gets the proper skills to make a town idol) are myself (CG62), Cliff_Racer (Cliff Racer), and Foe (Adam somethingoranother).
the house is done, there is one cupboard in the house, and the fishing rod I made is in the bottom of the river ( with my first character ) , north of the settlement.
My second character is north of the camp, being stun locked by a bear.

Apparently they only appear for one person...
You shoulda seen me and craterlord2, we fought a bear and SURVIVED, but we ran away.
WOOT, 16 FILEts IN THE CUPBOARD, BITE SOME OF THAT!
No really, don't starve!
Curly has a fishing rod too!
( Is now a metal crafter, and stone worker )
TWENTY NINE FILLETS IN THE THATCH ROOF LOG CABIN!!!
CG62, I have discovered something called the wagon, it can carry it is an extremely high capacity cargo carrier! ( does 16 containers = a lot? ) And also, carts move very well without roads!
I'm getting to the point where I really want to just grind my skills up to get murder, and then proceed to kill everyone who does **** I've already warned against.
Don't randomly cut down trees, they don't grow back.
Don't randomly pave ****, it looks ugly and will be a pain to deal with once we start farming and building a palisade.
Brick walls require metal to make the signposts, so don't worry about masonry right now.
Metal is incredibly difficult to get, so don't delude yourself into thinking we'll find a mine any time soon.
Okay, I started my game and went north-west, I found a wood cabin. Is this you guys? I built a leanto with a tree bough bed and a wicker basket, and also laid down my hearth fire. I hope It's you guys, and not a random stranger.

When you spawn, go northwest a bit until you hit a small patch of trees sticking out into whatever the yellow-land is supposed to be.
If you see a paved square with a sign in the middle, that's the house construction-site
@Foe: What? I'm only just joining, so I don't know what you're talking about.
EDIT: Nevermind, just finished starting it.
Edit : Nevermind.
