I've developed a wide taste in games over the years and my interest in particular genres has waxed and waned over time.
In no particular order, some genres I enjoy include: Shooters, fighters, grand strategy games, real time strategy games, platformers, open world action games, card/board games, sports games, racing games, aerial/space combat, RPGs, MMORPGs.
I generally avoid horror, survival, and games that present a bleak setting/POV.
I have a taste that is alien to pretty much everyone else I know.
I have a preference for some racing games, big one for types of sandbox games, some platformers, and MMOs. Not normal MMOs, I mean things like Robocraft and WoT, which are vehicular based and aren't your generic copy-paste fantasy MMO.
I would say open world is my favourite simply for the fact of the random things that can happen and the freedom to do as you please. A well made open world game is an amazing experience. So, I prefer Minecraft Games. Sometimes I also play Happy wheels Games, Dragon Ball Z Games and Mario Games

I like a lot of different kinds of game genres. FPS games like Call of Duty and Battlefield, open-world games like Skyrim, strategy games like Bloons TD5 and Plague Inc., sandbox games like Minecraft, RTS games like Sid Meier's Civilization, flash games, etc.
I've dabbled in action/adventure games and sandbox titles (mostly The Legend of Zelda franchise and Minecraft), but I'm really a "light-hearted RPG" kind of guy.
I love shooters. Mainly first person, but I've found several third-persons I like. Not Fortnite (I hate battle royales) but games like Warframe and Just Cause 3. Team-based shooters still hold a great place today: Team Fortress 2 is in my top 3 despite being over 11 years old and Borderlands 2 remains my favorite game even eight years later. I also love survival and RPG games, especially Bethesda's. (Haven't tried Fallout 76, but I've heard it's a subpar pay-to-win nightmare. But Elder Scrolls 3-5 and Fallout 3 are amazing.)

If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
Hmm genres? I'm pretty much that person who likes a bit of a mix. Sci-fi Fantasy RPG's tend to be what I prefer though like Might and Magic. I also LOVE the strategy genre, Europa Universalis and Heroes of might and magic are my favourite games in that genre. Though my liking of the MMORPG genre is fading off due to less group-based challenging MMO's out there (I'll play on a EQ progression server eventually and I do plan on getting Pantheon rise of the fallen) it is still fun to play a few of the MMO's as a less single-player and more sociable person (oh I do love raiding - only if it is challenging though (what's the point of doing a raid when it's easy?)!).
Other genres I like are D&D CRPG's like Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights (sorry too much to list here). Oh and action role playing games and hack&slash games are so fun! (diablo 2 (median xl sigma especially)).
Of course sand box games would be another genre I like (well I play Minecraft hah), except that game called Roblox isn't my cup of tea.
I myself like FPS, open world and horror games! Comment what types of games you like down below

Figured it was time for a change.

RTS, puzzle, Minecraft.
I know Minecraft isn't a genre, but I don't really play other sandbox games, so...

I started my gaming life playing with arcade games and then FPS games like Half-Life and Counter Strike but my favourite is always RPG games :))
Peace!
I like adventure/action games
HUGE fan of platformers here, with a little bit of RPG/action/shoot-em-up/racing thrown in for some variation every now and then.
Honestly, I'll play pretty much anything relatively light-hearted (Mostly. Not always. Maybe.)
Greetings, Earthling!
No.
JRPGs, Puzzle Platformers, and other strategy games are my personal favorites.
Minecraft - in first place.
Tower Defense - in second place.
Puzzles - in third place.
