Might be the most comprehensive advice that I've read that helps quite a bit when writing.

Hum, far as I know, reptilliandreams is the youngest "veteran" around here.
14 and writing better than me
huhubellz.
W/e, she rarely shows.
KB, there was really no need to mention seniority, it's usually very obvious >.>
Case in point: Solawind.
1) -N/A-
2) Descriptions galore. Don't go overboard tho. Feel the flow of the story through the character's, or the characters' eyes and tell the reader exactly how they feel, what they're feeling, seeing, etc etc.
i.e, "Bob saw a bird."
"Bob gazed upon the beauteous avian soaring through the skies, it's graceful dance gaining his rapt attention in mere seconds."
3)Well, it gets boring around here with how slow and/or fast RP's tend to go. Can't avoid it.
4)Standard KB experience, pay it no heed...much. Respect your elders and all still applies, but yeah, here its more a matter of skill.
5)Good for you, can't wait to see your works in the field.
6)Longer posts means more time. Skimming might save you a great deal but then problems happen when people disagree on what they understood(or lack of understanding)
Case in point: My very old argument with Lugia and KB over the distance they travelled in such ridiculous short time.(KB, Lugia, don't grill me for bringing this up, you both were here, convenience and all)
7)Read #5 while patting your own back.

Sometimes I wonder if it's all too easy.
Lying, cheating, stealing your way to victory.
Though just how far would you fall for a dream?
Well, I used to be a writer. So I am not completely "Bob saw a bird" syndromed. I am more..."As Bob looked up in the sky, he noticed a bird flying across the horizon." Although, when I really get into it, I can go "Bob, the man he was, thinking about last nights dinner, set his eyes on the sky. As he rested for a second, and let his thoughts ponder, he noticed movement. No, more than movement. He noticed a black, evil eyed raven flying above him, giving him a sense of dread as it bored into his thoughts. In cawed, and kept flying across the horizon in which it had forsaken with its presence. This led Bob to feel a chill as it left his sight."
Although, it is much harder to do such large decripitions in RPs.
Descriptions like that are definitely better than "Bob saw a bird". The great thing about writing large descriptions is the fact that when you do so, it raises the standards of that RP(and RP in general). For example, when I see GeorgeNinja or Nico589(both of which are great writers/RP'ers btw) post a lengthy, descriptive post, I feel a slight desire to post something on par with the article/story he/she has written. Granted, some people may not feel this way, but I see it as a great way to improve on my own skills.

Mhm. Anyway, arguably he did mention being a noob, so I ought to bring that up. Why? Satisfy one's curiousity.

Trust me, he's a 'veteran' and his RP is better than those gjinka ones.
Before him, it was some others that made Pokemon RPs so good that they can be seen on the Most Posts sections. There's quite a few there, although they've all ended by now.
This is the third time this has happened to me, and i've had reports of it happening to others too. I'll wait maybe a day to see if they fix the forums, that would be ideal. Otherwise the IC is just going to disappear too.
1) Ya, I kinda am starting to get that...
2) I actually have extremely heavy trouble writing more than 5 lines......so how?
3) I agree. All the RPs I am in are getting overwhelming...
4) I don't understand what you mean by this.....I know what a veteran is, but I don't understand why you brought it up.
5) Grammar is one of my strong points, so checkmate.
6) I do feel I join lighter roleplays.....but I get overwhelmed sometimes with such long posts.
7) Again, I do this rather well.

You gotta run from bonfire to bonfire because you can't complete it in one fell swoop
Aka
Take it slowly, never all at once.
It's very overwhelming, and it's the literal definition of biting off more than you can chew.
