The leader nods their head slowly, saying "Sounds... interesting. I have never heard of such a planet, but that just makes it all the better." The vehicle reaches the top of the city, and enters into an apparent emergency parking area, outside a building that looks to have a number of cabled connections connecting it to other buildings, and a wide entrance right near the parking. The door of the vehicle opens, and the anthropomorphic visitor is rushed out and into the opening, the leader following at a more sedate pace. They note "This building should have the best of what we have available, both in tools and in knowledge... So little is actually had of the precursors, which we might assume this visitor is."

", times, serif">Sir Mino nods and his helmet visor falls down again. This time, though, he doesn't lift it up. Instead, he gives a salute and turns heel. "Excellent! Follow me, mia bella cara!" His voice was slightly muffled from the metal of the helmet and he marches towards the door. He opens it, revealing that it leads to a castle wall overlooking a large medieval city with a gorgeous full moon above. This moon is either very close to the planet or very large, as it it very big in sky. As Sir Mino waits holding the door for the two ladies with a chivalrous bow, the moonlight seems to reflect off of his armor. As with when he entered the bar, the normally pitch black armor seems to become quite colorful with the depiction of galaxies and nebulae wherever the light from the moon hits the armor.
Minera pauses for a moment, thinking on what Eric had just said. "I reckon it would be difficult. Though usin' tools don't mean you have to know how they work, you just got to know how to use 'em. Showin' ya what does what shouldn't be too difficult." She then looks back at her project, setting the metal rod on the crystal. "O' course, I don't mind usin' more historic technology. If ya ever want some help figurin' somethin' out, just ask." She then looks back towards the stairs. "We still have three more cars to go in the grand tour. Next one should be quick. It's just a storage car. After that is the kitchen car and the dinin' car. I don't know about you, but I'm getting right peckish after that excitement over planet-hoppin'."
The gruff Jim, among giving orders around to the crew, manages to get back to Nezo. "Just hope you didn't leave anything behind down there." He then turns to the holo-map in the middle of the bridge. It shows the ship's position and the position of that giant gas bag creature. He raises up his hand in preparation. "Fire on my mark!" He intently looks at the holo-map, waiting for the perfect moment. After a short amount of time, he swings his hand down. "FIRE!" Nothing seems to happen for about thirty seconds. The gas bag looked like it was getting very close to the ship. All of a sudden, the view from the ship becomes very blue. A huge blue beam coming from outside the atmosphere rains down upon the gas bag, barely missing the ship. The holo-map shows the gas bag has been popped and it is now falling back to the planet surface. Jim looks back over it, moving the view to inspect the surface of the planet where the colony was. With the beam still coming down and moving over to the colony, the whole place was being covered by huge crystals.

I'm already finding the differences between the technologies of two-legged creatures like us and four-legged creatures like you. Even with just the vehicles, I'm seeing that the physiology of the intelligent civilization appears to make a big difference in the design aspect."
Meanwhile, City just kept staring up at the cables as they walked, only looking down to make sure she was still following the Lipine leader and her friend. "Man would it be cool to grind down one of those cables... Or maybe run... I can't tell how thick they are."

Kaikia begins to shed a misty dark teal aura. Her hair shivers slightly. Her eyes are now a gentle black with teal pupils. Her skin slightly darkens. "I fight-" She begins to start running in the direction of Ulti and takes off into the air to begin flying. "-to prove myself higher than pretentious beings like you!" She goes into a full on flying rush at him. "I don't care about your morals or objections! Only your power will show me what your place in the world is!" She charges a ball of black energy in her hand and reaches him, slamming the ball in his face. "Void Shatter!" The sphere explodes, firing a beam that blasts into the distance, destroying some of the seating in the arena and a mountain in the distance.

Silver keeps running with Glitch. "Sorry about that, Glitch. Had some issues with imprisonment in the past." Silver turns behind him and points the gun at one of the beasts. Silver fires three rounds into the beast's skull. He turns back and runs a little faster.
Ulti frowns as he sees Kaikia powering up. While she's running, he takes his sweet time taking a deep breath, holding his hands out in front of him. As Kaikia flies into the air, Ulti takes the opportunity to let out his breath, pushing his hands down. This causes all of the flowers he'd placed to release all of their pollen, creating a thick, yellow cloud across the battlefield like a smokescreen. A very allergy-inducing smokescreen. By the time Kaikia gets back down, the Ulti that had been standing there was already replaced with another fake. Ulti's voice rings throughout the battlefield, though seemingly not from one singular point as to not disclose his position. "Fighting to prove you're better is pointless. Even many of those that align themselves with Destruction have a reason to fight that isn't pointless." As Kaikia is standing in the pollen-filled field, roots and vines from the flowers start to creep up her leg in an attempt to restrain her. Meanwhile, the fist of a certain fox seems to come out of nowhere in the smokescreen, going right for Kaikia's face, then disappearing just as fast back into the pollen.
The glitch sighs before the loud screeching of the tick sounds off. It sounded very close. This is proven when the tick crawls around a nearby skyscraper, surrounded by thousands of those wolf snake creatures, all clinging to its shell. The glitch seems quite concerned about this. "Damn... I hope this plan of yours can take out all these things with it, too. If not, I'm gonna have a hard time clearing this out after you're done!"

Nezo looked at the gas bag as it approched, worried a bit before seeing the weapon being fired and the damage that was sent down there. He looked at the planet.
"At least your not destroying the planet. There is a door back to where I entered that... I might need to get back into later on." he then says, looking down to the planet.
"But for now... might as well help with there problems you have. Wish I had my ship with me though." he then says
"Hm? You mean you don't have monsters where you live?" Erin asked in shock.
"Let me explain." Endie began. "The world Erin and I live in is relatively safe during the day. But when it becomes nighttime, dangerous monsters begin to roam the land. Each monster has its own abilities, like being set to detonate like explosives whenever in close proximity of humans or being able excel in archery." Endie explained.
"Endie is a monster too. An enderman, they have the ability teleport which is really cool!" Erin said happily.

(Also, I just passed my driving test yesterday. Yay!)
As Rune scanned for transmission signals, he would find that the city was scattered with them, although they were mostly faint. The strongest signals came from the direction of the power plants, where strong Russian forces were presumed to be at. When John heard Arith's question, he stopped walkin, and nearly falling over, grabbed Arith's shoulder as support to stay on his feet. After a few seconds, he looked at Arith and cracked a small smile. "It's those damn Mystery Mixes, I tell ya. First you, now me!" He laughed a little, somehow finding humor in the current situation. After he stopped laughing, he continued to walk, still using Arith as support to keep from stumbling any further. "Firion's on the money. There's... something... inside my mind. Just know there's potential for me to injure or possibly kill all of you if it takes over." Further ahead, there were objects blocking the road. As the group got closer, the objects were several American Bulldog tanks that were destroyed, some of which were still on fire as the fuel inside still burned away. Some of the tanks were on their sides or upside down, suggesting the tanks were pushed into their current place. Seeing that there was no safe way to climb the tanks, John frowned and led the group to a nearby five-story office building. John let go of Arith's shoulder once they arrived at the entrance way. He withdrew his revolver and entered with caution. Once he made sure there were no enemies within the area, John proceeded to a nearby set of stairs, gesturing for the others to come along. Once he reached the top floor, John entered one of the offices and proceeded to the windows, which provided a large view of the powerplants. Throughout this whole time, John heard Fiera whisper incoherent sentences in his head, unable to make out what she was saying. He fell to his knees and braced himself on the wall next to the window. He rested for a few seconds, before peeking out on the window down on the area. He slammed his fist against the wall (although being weak from his perturbation, only a tiny thud could be heard) and cursed. "That's a lot of Russians down there." he muttered.
The power plants were of an odd design, being a large cylindrical structure at thirty feet tall with a hole on top of which a blue glow was visible. Three slimmer smoke stacks surrounded the center structure in a triangular pattern, being about fifty feet tall. In total, thirty power plants were present plus one normal building with several power transformers. The whole premises was surrounded by a twenty foot high, three foot thick concrete wall. Only one entrance was visible, and it was heavily guarded by Russians soldiers. While the general area sported several large groups of Russian conscripts, the group of twenty that guarded the entrance looked entirely different. They wore rubber jumpsuits and sported thick metal armor that covered their upper bodies. Even the heads were protected by a metal helmet that is attached to the armor. The helmets had a slit for the soldiers to look out of. On one of their arms was a large metal glove outfitted with a miniature tesla coil, of which electric sparks jumped from that to their back-mounted miniature tesla generators. Along with the soldiers, three massive tanks were present. The three "Apocalypse" tanks were about two times the size of an M1 Abrams tank, with armor thick enough to simply cause most small tank rounds to bounce off. On top, the turret of the tanks were massive, sporting two barrels and side mounted missile pods. The exhaust pipes in the back spewed black smoke from the large diesel engines needed to move the beast. Three large blade-like structures protruded from the front, which could be used to ram or push other tanks. The group would have a tough time trying to fight all of these forces, let alone protecting the engineer as well.
The Engineer accepted the metal ball from Trevor, curious as to what it does. He shrugged the question off and followed the group. Once they arrived at the top story of the office building, he looked out the window and turned pale. "Oh my... H-how are we going to get in there?"
Elizabeth gazed upon the tanks that blocked the path, and recognized that they belonged to the same company she was in. She knew that her fellow brothers and sisters lay within the metal coffins, and she started to become emotional. She didn't show it until they arrived in the office room, where after she glanced at the forces outside and the Apocalypse tanks that wiped out her company, that she fell to her knees and began to bawl.
The Confederation soldiers stood no chance against Zeus's Gatling cannon, being mowed down like grass on a lawn. The crazy stunt pulled off by Chance disabled both the gun and the vehicle in a single shot, rendering the Flak Track useless. The last shot of low gravity that was fired was enough to cushion the IFV from breaking it's axles, with the rest of the impact absorbed by the vehicle's suspension. After Osaku passed the now-destroyed flak track, she pushed the button on her headset. "That as freaking amazing, Chance! Though don't do that anymore. These IFVs aren't exactly the cheapest things in the world." she said. As they traveled through the city towards the power plants, two Confederation helicopters appeared from behind one of the tall building, flying over the Trio. They seemed to have heavier armor and equipped with missiles. Osaku looked up on the screens and saw them. "Uh, guys! I need you two to take those Vultures out." she ordered. The modified Vultures fired a barrage of missiles at the group, though that proved ineffective as Osaku's IFV's jamming module sent the missiles flying away in random directions.
Eric sighed, putting his hands in his pockets. "I suppose you got a point." He then smiled a little. "And thanks for the offer." Eric looked at the stairs with Minera, hearing what's left of the tour. "Yeah, I'm getting hungry myself as well. Let's continue, shall we?"
Both Zen and Eclipse walked outside, looking up into the sky at the full moon above. Eclipse was completely mesmerized by the moon, clutching her amulet around her neck and staring at the sky like in some sort of trance. While Zen thought the moon was gorgeous, it wasn't long before she looked back at Sir Mino and noticed the colorful armor. "Sir, your armor!" was all she could say, pointing at the wonderful images of space objects. Eclipse seemed to have heard as she broke her trance and looked at sir Mino's armor and noticed the colors too. She pointed at the armor with one paw and scratched her head with the other, giving the knight a puzzled look as she wondered how the armor changed.
(And that's everyone, I hope.)

(Those tanks look like something out of Metal Slug, except not pixel art.)
From the blast of the orbs, the pollen dissipates just a little bit. Just enough for Kaikia to possibly see a tail running by a few meters away. "You're not convincing me that you aren't a completely pointless being. Someone who fights for those reasonings are more worthless than the lowest peasant fighting for survival. All you do is harm those around you and claim it's because you're better. You're not. Pointless beings such as you that only negatively affect everything around ought to be expunged." What appears to be a fresh-cooked bagel hits Kaikia in the back of the head, being more of an annoyance than an actual attack. It seemed like a taunt before another punch comes out of nowhere. "I also hope you realize that you have made a mistake in antagonizing me. I didn't want a fight. You should have left well enough alone, but no. You had to fight me. You can ask anyone here that knows me. It was a bad idea." Since Kaikia hasn't moved, the vines from the flowers continue to crawl up her legs, further cementing her to where she stands.
(I figured out that the font I was using for the glitch was actually the Greek font, but up until now, it wasn't working.)
", monospace">The glitch nods and turns around, only to find the escape route blocked by the wolf-snake creatures. "Uh... I think that's gonna be a problem! Just do what you need to do and get back to the safehouse!" With shotgun in hand, he makes his way through the horde, though very slowly. As Silver begins charging the tick, the tick also charges Silver, in an attempt to eat him. Along with this, the thousand or so creatures that were latched onto the tick jump down and make a beeline for Silver.
Julie shakes her head a bit at the mentioning of monsters. "I wouldn't call Endie a monster. A non-human, sure, but not a monster. He seems kind enough." She then stands up from where she's sitting. "If it's an escort you need, I'd be willing to help. I can handle a few creepers and skelly-bros."
", palatino, serif">At first, Arith was confused as to what John said about someone in his head, but she dismissed it as part of the Mystery Mix experience. She certainly didn't like the sight of the piled-up tanks. Continuing on up the stairs, following John, she takes a look out the window. When she hears Elizabeth's weeping, she instantly turns back around to see her. She goes over to the emotional soldier and sits next to her, patting her on the back. "Everything is gonna be alright..." She really wasn't sure if she believed this, herself, but she still had to keep a positive attitude. She pauses for a moment before positioning herself to sit cross-legged and swinging her guitar to where she can play it. She turns the volume knob down to a point where the sound wouldn't escape the room, then strums a few times to get the right key. Once she's found it, she starts up a song.
Meanwhile, Trevor was looking out the window with John. He seemed to stare intently at the hull of one of the tanks. Unknown to the others, he was attempting to use his eye and brain implants to discern the type of material the armor was made of, as well as the structure of the armor and innards of the vehicle. After a moment, he switches gaze to the tesla soldiers. He takes note of the eye slits, rubber suits, and heavy armor.
", palatino, serif">When Arith is done with her song, she takes a deep breath. She stands back up and swings her guitar on her back. Anger could be seen in her eyes. It was obvious she was pissed. "I'll tell you what we're gonna do. We're gonna hit 'em and hit 'em hard, courtesy of that red white and blue." She looks to Trevor. "You. Spyborg. You seem the be studying hard. Any ideas?"
Trevor smiles a bit. "Thermite." Upon receiving a slightly confused look from Arith, he explains. "Don't ask me how I know this, but rubber suits like that get really uncomfortable when you're hot and sweaty. They also retain heat pretty well. Add that armor on top, and you've got yourself a something that could be dangerous. Thermite is really friggin' hot. If we can introduce active thermite into the environment for long enough time, those soldiers will either have to take some of that armor off or risk heat stroke. Also, depending on what the results of my scans on the tank are, there may be some chance it could melt through the hull." He begins looking around the room. "It's easy to make with normal stuff. We just need aluminum powder, rust, and magnesium. If those tanks we saw still have any emergency flares, we can get the magnesium out of there. Rust is easy to find. Aluminum shouldn't be too hard, either."
Soon after the IFV lands, Chance can be seen hanging his head out of the window, trying not to throw up. He manages to keep himself together and pulls himself back in when Osaku makes her comment. "Urp... I don't think I'd be doing that again, anyways... I never was good with rollercoasters..." He manages to snap out of his daze when the Vultures arrived. Hearing the command from Osaku to take it down, he remembers his great-grandfather talking about punt guns. "Hope ya'll know how to skin an' dress helicopter, 'cuz I'm goin' huntin', fellas!" His voice is mimicking that of a 'redneck' in an over-the-top fashion. He drives around to a good position for him to aim the punt gun towards one of the helicopters and lets it fire.
Meanwhile, Zeus pulls his IFV around to a good position to fire his gatling gun at the other Vulture. Seeing the tick armor of the heli, he ponders a moment. He soon leans out of the cab a bit in order to aim his left hand into the air. He tracks the Vulture's movements and plans ahead to hopefully hit it with a high-gravity shot. He fires three shots into the air where he believes the helicopter may wind up by the time the shots reach. An attempted fourth shot brings nothing but red sparks from the wrist device attached to his pack. "Dammit, I'm out of juice! It'll be a while before it recharges." He pulls himself back into the cab to continue firing the gatling, in case the shots missed the helicopter.
", times, serif">Sir Mino chuckles slightly as he follows the two out of the bar, the door shutting behind them. "This, m'ladies, is Lunite. Its magical properties come with the moonlight. It is most impressive during a full moon, such as the one we are graced with on this fine night." He takes a step forward and draws his sword out of the scabbard just enough to show that it, too, shows similar patterns in the moonlight, then lets it go back in. "This material is unique in another way, as well. The kingdom's finest blacksmiths and metallurgists cannot forge with this metal. Only a Moonglower can forge with Lunite." He then takes a look at Eclipse's mechanical arm again. "As I may have mentioned, one of my companions happens to be a smithy. If my memory doth not mistake me, he still has some of this wondrous material left. If it would please m'lady, I can have him forge a protective cover for that arm of yours."
Minera nods before shutting down the table with the red crystal. She leads Eric back downstairs and through the sliding door opposite the one they entered from. The connector between cars wasn't anything special. Neither was the next car. Walking through, they both find themselves in a three-story car stacked to the ceiling with crates and furniture. The only space to walk is a straight like between the two ends of the car. "Sorry 'bout the clutter. This is just supplies and what-not, along with a buncha stuff from my adventures." She walks on through and opens up the next door. The connector, this time, contained what appeared to be some kind of tube with yellow glass. It was big enough to fit a person inside it. Minera opens up the tube and steps inside. She floats up for a moment before her clothes seem to turn into something else. The tricorne hat she was wearing turned into a metal cowboy hat and clockwork gas mask. The green shirt with a rose on the breast turned into a blue shirt and black trench coat. The cowboy boots remained the same, however. After another second, those clothes seemed to disappear, too, leaving her completely in the nude. There wasn't much to see, though. While she had the shape of a woman (and a slightly chubby one, now that she was unclothed), she had none of the indecent parts a humanoid would. Her breasts were perfectly smooth, as well as between her legs. No reproductive organs, whatsoever. After a few seconds of the tube humming, those same covering clothes appear back on her. Then, the mask and cowboy hat disappear in favor of a scarf around her neck. The trench coat and shirt disappeared in favor of a set of white straps that just covered her chest and went down her belly and hooked somewhere in her pants. The cowboy chaps and boots were still the same, though. She lands back on the ground before the tube opens up again and she steps out. "Sterilization chamber. This is pretty much my version of 'wash your hands before using the kitchen'. You're gonna have to do the same thing."
(I know the Force Cell in Starbound is technically a solitary confinement device you get from prisons, but I like to pretend it's a sterilization chamber/shower.)
Jim turns back to Nezo after a quick sigh of relief that they'd gotten rid of that gas bag. "Not sure how that door of yours is gonna fair when crystallized. We'll see. For now..." He looks back to the man piloting the ship. "Helmsman! Get us to the Concordia and get us there yesterday! We've got a VIP in worse-than-critical condition." The pilot responds with an "Aye-aye, sir!" and turns the ship out to exit the atmosphere. Jim looks back to Nezo. "So what, exactly, are you? I've seen plenty of intelligent races, but I haven't seen any like you."

(I really want to get to Arith's mini-arc... The more I think about the arc, the more it's becoming a more major arc. Been thinking of interesting character for Arith's team.)
Upon the connection between Kaikia's foot with Ulti's head, the fox bursts into sand, which falls to the ground. Obviously, this was a fake, as Ulti walks onto the area a couple of seconds later. "No, Miss Kaikia, I believe you are the weak one. Power-wise, we have yet to find out, but you are weak-willed. You give in to the base instinct that you always have to prove yourself better. While this would be good in a more friendly competition, it only hurts folks when the subject is fighting. There's nothing to gain from being the best fighter unless you are fighting for a worthy cause." He takes a moment to hop into the air, hovering a few feet above the ground with his arms and tail shedding light that seems to fall to the ground. He floats all the way around the battlefield, the light trickling down onto the ground and beautiful flowers sprout up where the light lands. This effectively turns the battlefield into a sea of color. Ulti stops on the opposite side of the arena as Kaikia, landing back on the ground with his hands in his pockets. "So tell me, Miss Kaikia, what is it that you fight for? What compels you to be the best fighter you can be?"
The glitch looks back long enough to see Silver running with a blank look on his face. He jumps, spins around, and fires a shot in the direction of a creature about to pounce on Silver as he snapped out of it. Landing and continuing his running, the glitch yells back. "Now is really not the time to blank out, friend!"
(I'll wait for Fozz to post before continuing the heist story.)
I/O seems confused at the mentioning of it being dark. "What's up with going out after dark? You kids got curfew or something?"
", courier, monospace">City and Cyber follow the leader along at a similar pace, both being sure that the anthropomorphic one was in good hands. Cyber looks at the cables above before looking back to the leader. "I'm quite interested to see further how our technology differs from yours.

Forget cookin' with fire, I'm roastin' marshmallows in Hell! I'll save you some.TM
Kaikia is smashed in the face, knocking her aura down but her powered up form stays. Kaikia spreads her arms out and glows for a second. Then thousands of small powerful energy balls are launched out of her. "Proving I am at the top shows I am above those with a moral reason! Being at the top and overwhelming all that oppose me shows I am a true god!" As the blasts travel through the air, the pollen hopefully dissipates.

Silver grins and then thinks, putting a serious look on his face. "Get as far away from here as you can." Silver begins to charge the tick.

We've got a VIP in worse-than-critical condition."
