No one has set foot on Earth in centuries -- until now.
Ever since a devastating nuclear war, humanity has lived on spaceships far above Earth's radioactive surface. Now, one hundred juvenile delinquents -- considered expendable by society -- are being sent on a dangerous mission: to recolonize the planet. It could be their second chance at life...or it could be a suicide mission.
An excerpt from one of the 100's journal I was born in space. I've never felt the sun on my face or breathed real air or floated in the water. None of us have. For three generations, The Ark has kept what's left of the human race alive, but now our home is dying, and we are the last hope of mankind. One hundred prisoners sent on a desperate mission to the Ground Each of us is here because we broke the Law. On the Ground, there is no Law. All we have to do is survive. But we will be tested: by the Earth, by the secrets it hides, and most of all, by each other.
The Way of the Ark
The Ark is the spaceship home to the only humans left alive. During the nuclear war the Arc was sent up in an attempt to save the human race. It was home to 2000 citizens and was only designed to survive for 100 years in space. Now 300 years later the Arc is dying. Chancellor Adam took the matter into his own hands deciding to finally find out of Earth is habitable once again for the human race. After being up in space for so long many things are different. People don't read books as they are a rare commodity and treasured under lock and guard. Everyone is in rags or hand made clothes as there is no new ones being produced and there is a strict limit on how many children can be have by a couple(1). On the Ark there are very strict laws. Laws must be strict as oxygen levels are dropping, and killing off the bad is a great way to preserve the remaining air.Everyone is given a trial after being convicted and if sentenced guilty are floated (sent out into space to die). All citizens under the age of 18 receive a second trial as the turn 18, before it is decided if they will be floated or not.
Earth
Almost everything has changed over the past 300 years. Much was effected from the radiation, and even more just from the decaying effect of time. Earth has become a more dangerous place since the war. There are creatures never seen before in the water and forest. Other animals are mutated http://www.agentsofguard.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/the-100-mutant-deer1.png Besides the creatures much else has changed. Some plants have grown to be dangerous, while others are luminescent. There is the frequent acid fog that must be avoided, but most importantly is the Grounders. They are the biggest threat of the earth.
Rules:
No godmodding, powerplaying, metagaming, ect. Basic rule and such.
You are allowed to control NPC's to a certain level. We would prefer if you kept this to a minimum such as having someone give you a dirty look. Mods, and myself of course, have the authority to control NPC's to a greater level.
Try to be original, no one likes a million Kens and Barbies
Romance is allowed and encouraged as it is a regular part of your characters. Keep is PG 13 or 18+ put it in a spoiler.
Keep it real. If you suddenly were send to a brand new world in your eyes, how would you really react. Would you be excited, or frightened, or joyful, or angry?
Go slow. The Rp will be no fun if you rush through it all.
Violence is encouraged. You are all criminalized juveniles let loose in a place with no guidance, go crazy.
Respect my authority for I am your god
Please disguise Grounder in the other section of your application
Follow the rules or you shall explode in a rain of disease and blood
Please, Please no one line posts. I hate these! Even for dialogue. Talk about what your character is doing and what they are looking at. Just no one liners!
Please use proper grammar, it helps us a lot.

My Application
Name: Autumn Bones
Nick Name: Autumn
Age: 17
Gender: female
Appearance: Autumn's bright red hair is the reason for her name. She has light freckles spotted across her cheeks. Her eyes seem to tell a thousand stories and suck many in.They are a mix between blue and green.
Personality: Autumn is pretty hard to get along with. Many people tried, but quit after the yelling and threatening that occurred. It's not that she likes being alone, but it's easier for her. She preferred it after her parents died. If a person were persistent enough it would have been possible that they could find the hidden soft side of her that showed who she really is.
Crime: Autumn was found in her home covered in blood with her mom in her lap. After seeing the knife in her hand the guards assumed the obvious and threw her in prison to await her 18th birthday.
Biography: Autumn grew up as a very cheerful child. She loved being with other kids and exploring the entirety of the Arc. In school she was bored like every other child except when they got to learn about Earth in science class. It wasn't uncommon to find the girl sitting in front of one of the bay windows staring out for glimpses of the planet.
When Autumn's father was floated for selling in the black-market, she immediately changed. She was secluded and didn't play with the other children anymore. She only stared out the window longing for freedom of the hellhole that had killed her father.
Then Autumn's mother died and she was blamed for the entire event. Sent to prison she began to loose it, and had to be frequently seduced before she hurt a guard or herself. She dreamed of her death, and the death of everyone on the Arc, for sentencing her to this terrible fate.
Other: Read the rules ya damn cheater

Thats great nerd! Finally someone actually posted! Thank god! You will be accepted, but there are a few things that you need to fix, just because they dont with with the story.
1. Siblings didn't really happen. It was one of the most punishable crimes because the Arc could not sustain more life.
2. The Arc is a single ship, one big jumble of sections. The way you worded it, it sounded like your parents died between some sort of space ship battle. If you can fix these or explain the second one instead, that would be great!
No worries, the same thing has happened to me before Anyway your application is accepted! It sounds great, i love the way you added the floated part in. It fits perfectly! Now for just a few more applicants.
((i see absolutely no reason why i shouldn't start this rp. I am hoping that with some good effort into it, I can bring attention to it. This is something I'm excited about and if i have to rp by myself, so be it))
Autumn sat in her cell, legs crossed in-front of her. Her red hair fell over her bent hair drifting closer to the floor. She needed to cut it again, but the guards wouldn't let her as the last time she went for a haircut she tried to stab one of them. One of her hands reached up and brushed the hair on the left side of her face behind her ear. She let out a long breath pushing herself off the floor and moving to the back of her cell. What could she do in a place so restricted. This is where criminals are truly made, where they find their insanity and grab hold to it because it's the only thing that they can find. Her fists balled up in anger and she brought them up to her chest, hugging them, to prevent herself from punching the wall.
There was a commotion in the hallway and her cell door clanged open. Autumn span around drawing back like a corned animal. One ready to fight, and kill if needed. The guards clicked out its electric-stick and she could here the sparks crackling off of it. Her voice croaked out from lack of use, "What the hell do you want." This small sentence was followed by a dryness in her throat, that caused her to cough hard. The only answer she received was a hard glare from one of the guards. The cold curt response finally came, "Turn around prisoner 268, put your hands on your head."
Her head shook before she even knew it. "No... no no no. I have time! It's not my birthday, It's not, it's not." Her voice rose as much as it could to hysteria. Panicking Autumn pushed herself off the wall towards the still open cell door. The guard on the right grabbed her around the waste throwing her back into the other guard. He held his electric-stick ready, as she fell right into it. She felt her entire body lock up, freezing because of the electricity before her head hit the floor and the world went black.
